As much I hate to say this...rather Louisa than that little twerp #1.

You've been told about this numerous times. Tone it down please.

I agree with Jonjo - I see why others consider the Louisa song to be weak but it gets better with each listen for me, a gorgeous song  I thought about the Footprints in the Sand similarity myself also!

Everytime I see the title "Forever Young" I want it to be the Alphaville song and alas get solely disappointed knowing it's not.

Nah Beebs FTW (something I didn't ever see my self saying 6 months ago)

I don't see Bob Dylan's Forever Young in the Itunes chart, usually the original version of the winner's song pops up somewhere in the charts, the lack of it showing up I think shows the lack of interest in the show anymore

I think that just shows a lack of interest in the song tbh.

Louisa is very talented and with the right material should have a good career but this winners single is just dull for me at least the past winners singles were all some what catchy (some more than others) but this one is just boring. Streaming and the fact the chart week now begins on a Friday is probably not helping her either.

I wonder if Simon has some obsession or some deal with this dreary song. If One Direction had won their year, it would have been their winners single.

Their version leaked

Now 5 years later it rears its dreary head again.

thats a different song :D that's Alphaville's not Bob Dylan

That's a completely different song. Louisa's is the Bob Dylan song, this one was by Alphaville.

Ha Ha! Really? How embarrassing for me. Although both seem as dreary as each other anyway and I've not bothered to listen again since the X Factor final. So uninspiring.

Stormzy now playlisted on Capital – every little helps!!

(no sign of Louisa)

I'm really loving 'Forever Young' atm. It reminds me a tiny bit of 'Footprints In the Sand'. I can see why people consider it one of the weakest efforts, but the more I listen to it, the more I'm loving it!

Wow, they're literally the first bits of praise I've seen for the song on here!

I'm the same

Maybe Simon's just got an obsession with songs about being forever young

Never thought I'd see the day... Will be quite a moment to hear 'Shut Up' played on Heart FM too.

On Louisa, I recognised her face before and it turns out she's a West Ham fan! Swear I've seen her outside Upton Park before, not that I've ever spoken to her. For having such great taste, it'd be nice to see her do well.

Louisa dropping regular 4%'s, now at 0.91.

Stormzy may overtake her by end of play tonight at that rate....

Louisa down to 0.8512 now.

I'm happy that the X Factor's stranglehold of the Christmas #1 is coming to an end. It was getting as tedious as the campaigns and charity tracks imo. Not that Bieber for me is a better alternative but at least this means we'll have a normal song not related to any show on top!

'Shut Up' is far superior to the other Stormzy track so I'm not against Stormzy doing well with this. It's more comical than anything lol!

Does anyone know what percentage of first week sales for previous X Factor winners singles came from physicals? Just want to work out whether people are under-estimating how many physicals Louisa will sell.

Well the winners singer is awful and this X Factor flopped so it's no surprise.

But it is a surprise people are buying into pop brat trash!!

Are there really that FEW West Ham fans that you can identify each other easily?
