Posted December 12, 20159 yr Results have been counted and are starting IMMINENTLY. A reminder of the songs: Right Now See Ya I Want Your Love Follow Me Whole Again Eternal Flame You Are It's OK! The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) The Last Goodbye Be With You Love Doesn't Have To Hurt If You Come To Me Ladies Night Someone Like Me Right Now 2004 Cradle (original / 2005 version)
December 12, 20159 yr Author 17 5.63 Ladies Night Unfortunately in last place, we have the rather fun Ladies Night. The song is a cover of Kool & The Gang, recorded by the group's request for an updated version with female vocals. Atomic Kitten also titled the parent album Ladies Night in honour of the song. It peaked at #8 in the UK, outpeaking the original. This should be much higher IMO, a song I frequently go back to and enjoy a lot. However, it's not surprising that it came last, as it received 2 of the 5 -1 scores given out. 16 6.02 Follow Me The group's lowest charting single, and only non-top 10 (excluding the Anyone Who Had a Heart cover which I didn't even bother including in the rate), Follow Me almost saw Atomic Kitten dropped after its release. The song peaked at #20, after three minor top 10 hits. It was the following single that changed things for the group but more on that later. Follow Me was also the only single to be left off The Greatest Hits. It's a good song I think, not an Atomic Kitten classic but I enjoy it! 15 6.19 Right Now 2004 The original version of Right Now is still to come but the re-recorded version drops out here in 15th place. This was released as a double a-side with Someone Like Me as the group's last proper single. It was the only new track on The Greatest Hits. The production on this version is much more dance oriented rather than pure pop like the original.
December 12, 20159 yr Ladies Night doesn't deserve to be at the bottom - I'll admit I didn't use to like it, but these days I think it's a good version.
December 12, 20159 yr "Right Now 2004" deserves bottom place, nowhere near as good as the original version, just feels so lazy. Also actually quite like "Ladies Night" for what it is, a tacky cover version. "Follow Me" is also nice enough, but not surprised at it's position here
December 13, 20159 yr Poor 'Ladies Night'. It's not their worst single, but I can see why it's ranked so low as I don't know anybody that "loves" it enough to give it a high score. I kinda expected that position for 'Follow Me', although it's unjust!
December 14, 20159 yr I'm really hoping 'You Are' can do as well as possible, it was really annoying seeing it get so many lowly scores. :(
February 17, 20169 yr Author So sorry about this guys, I'm just gonna post the full results now because I don't want to hold up any future rates in the queue for longer than I have already. Thanks SO much to all who participated!! 1 9.70 Whole Again 2 8.56 The Last Goodbye 3 8.33 It's OK! 4 8.19 The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) 5 8.03 Be With You 6 7.76 I Want Your Love 7 7.70 Right Now 8 7.47 Eternal Flame 9 7.41 Someone Like Me 10 7.30 If You Come To Me (more 10s) 11 7.30 See Ya 12 7.21 You Are 13 7.09 Love Doesn't Have To Hurt 14 6.56 Cradle (original / 2005 version) 15 6.19 Right Now 2004 16 6.02 Follow Me 17 5.63 Ladies Night Not a surprising winner of course. I Want Your Love is higher than I thought though!
February 17, 20169 yr Predictable winner but it is a wonderful song. I like how the top 10 turned out apart from Be With You, i would rate it much lower.
February 17, 20169 yr Surprised that "Eternal Flame" got so high, such a dire cover, "Whole Again" was definitely the rightful winner and glad that "Someone Like Me" made the top 10.
February 17, 20169 yr Atomic Kitten had some blinding singles. You Are is ridiculously low here though. That's easily in their top 3. What a song. Someone Like Me is such a basic song but I've always liked it. Gorgeous melody.
