January 7, 201610 yr He was 44, so top 40 on Friday is properly confirmed, I'd say. Thanks Joe. I'm happy for him. ^_^
January 7, 201610 yr So Adele is currently tied with Madonna, with 30 weeks spent at #1 in the UK album charts. If Adele stays at #1 this week, she will hold the record for the most weeks at #1 by a female artist.
January 7, 201610 yr I like Bieber, but I don't like how streaming has SUCH value in the chart, how a track can jump 10+ poisitions from it, or fall massively. (It's really going to affect Taylor Swift's singles in the future, she could sell a #1 single, but it'd probably just break the official top 10, people are likely to cry flop who don't understand the chart. Or Imagine if her single was just a good 'top 5' sales hit, It'd likely to chart at like #25) So I'm hoping Shawn Mendes actually manages to scrape into 3, because I don't believe him having this #1,#2,#3 record is deserved, when so many in the past would have likely to have broken the same record had streaming been available and had such an impact then. Although it's going to be close, Adele may even fall out of the top 5, with Grace overtaking? Hello is falling fast on itunes, it's an exciting week for the chart. #1 - Justin Bieber - Love Yourself #2 - Justin Bieber - Sorry #3 - Shawn Mendes/Justin Bieber #4 - Shawn Mendes/Justin Bieber #5 Grace/Adele I'm going to predict Shawn will get the #3, and Grace will get the #5, pushing Adele out of the top 5. But who knows! Also will be good to see if Little Mix are able to chart with the surge of sales Edited January 7, 201610 yr by BellyClarkson
January 7, 201610 yr Sorry has only left the T2 once (X-mas week) :o Edited January 7, 201610 yr by mowino
January 7, 201610 yr Little Mix won't be top 40 until next week. They'll be about #55 max this week. Bieber's campaign is quite odd coz everyone seems to be talking about (and loving) 'Sorry'. But 'Love Yourself' is the one that's doing bigger things!
January 7, 201610 yr I'm going to predict Shawn will get the #3, and Grace will get the #5, pushing Adele out of the top 5. But who knows! He definitely won't be #3, he may get to #4 but I'd predict #5 behind Adele.
January 7, 201610 yr I can't stand Bieber and don't get his current popularity and domination of the charts at all. There is far better music around than his tripe.

January 7, 201610 yr Loads of good news in the chart this week then :D Justin locking out the top 3, Shawn potentially coming for #4 (#5 at least), 99 Souls going top 10, Years & Years going top 20 and Major Lazer coming for a top 25 play :cheer:
January 7, 201610 yr He definitely won't be #3, he may get to #4 but I'd predict #5 behind Adele. How can it be so certain if there's only 1k gap between #3 and #4 at this point? 99 Souls being top 10 pleases me. :cheer: Please hold on! Edited January 7, 201610 yr by mr_pmt
January 7, 201610 yr Author How can it be so certain if there's only 1k gap between #3 and #4 at this point? 99 Souls being top 10 pleases me. :cheer: Please hold on! There's no way it won't be top 10 now. There are no songs behind it outselling it and it sold more than Coldplay at #9 yesterday. Little Mix is are at #68 with Secret Love Song, by the way :)
January 7, 201610 yr Imagine if Adele had put her album up for streaming the week of its release, surely she would have had the top 5 in singles sewn up that week.
January 7, 201610 yr If everything sold the same tomorrow (not likely but it's good for an estimate) we'd be looking at: 1-3. Justin 4. Shawn (~500 above Adele, and he's ahead on streaming now so will push him ahead again slightly) 10. 99 Souls 17. Years & Years 22. Major Lazer 27. Snakehips 29. David Guetta 37. Craig David
January 7, 201610 yr How can it be so certain if there's only 1k gap between #3 and #4 at this point? Because streaming data is missing, which Justin Bieber is ahead on.
January 7, 201610 yr Hopefully Craig David can finally break the Top40 tomorrow giving how he's done on iTunes at the moment.
