I think he should get to #1 combined quite easily? Plenty of time to grow and he'll start getting the top 10 effect too. Not to mention his death will be mentioned on most news programs this evening.

I think he'll do better in streaming than people think. His latest album had 7 tracks in the top 200 on spotify yesterday and they'll likely climb - not to mention there's a David Bowie playlist on the front page of spotify.

No. It was Craig David that covered that song

Bowie 12 of the top 20 albums; 28 of the top 100 singles.

Was just mentioned on the news with "Life On Mars" being used quite a bit in the video clip about his death. Should see quite big gains in the next few hours.

Yes it was, I will watch it again in the week too in tribute, one of my faves :)

Just checked US iTunes, "Space Oddity" is his highest entry so far at no.6! and "Life On Mars" is only no.202!

It's nice to see 'Lazarus' doing nearly as well as his biggest hits, a very appropriate tribute considering it seems to intentionally be a sort of 'obituary' song.
