466. David Zowie - House Every Weekend (Radio Edit)

David Zowie was top 200 last week on iTunes so I'm pretty confident apart from 2-3 people maybe everyone knows he's not Bowie as the track has dropped significantly down.

I'm certainly happier seeing Bowie dominate the chart, than Bieber!

Really would be a victory for music over fame if Bowie could get the top 4 slots and take Bieber's record away after just one week.

Preach!! Would be veeeery difficult to accomplish though so maybe talent won't win out here.

I hope he gets to no.1 though. Cila and Michael AND Whitney didn't :/ Whitney was my fave, edpecially MÑiYL and INRBIO

Does anyone think if failed to get number with Heroes this week he could do it next week still?

big lead when combined:

Heroes 1.19

Stitches 1.00

Love yourself 0.93

maybe Justin can twitter his fans to stop streaming Love Yourself and stream Bowie instead :D

All depends on his streaming points for this week... The lead on ITunes will be bigger than this and with the million versions, it's already bigger I guess.

I'd be surprised if Heroes got it this week, let's not forget it's missing three days essentially. It could make it next week but I don't see it having enough streams then (depending on how long Spotify advertise the Bowie playlist I guess).

It has a better chance next week than this week I think. It's pretty unlikely though, will probably end up at about #4.

The top version has obviously slowed significantly overnight, might continue rising today though.

In France David Bowie has 7 songs in the top10 and 12 in the top 20 :o

1 David Bowie - Life On Mars?

2 David Bowie - Space Oddity

4 David Bowie - Heroes

6 David Bowie - Let's Dance (Single Version) [2014 Remastered Version]

7 David Bowie - Lazarus

8 David Bowie - Blackstar

10 David Bowie - Life On Mars?

11 David Bowie - Space Oddity (2009 Remastered Version)

12 David Bowie - China Girl

15 David Bowie - Ashes To Ashes (Single Version) [2014 Remastered Version]

16 David Bowie - Let's Dance

19 David Bowie - Modern Love (Single Version) [2014 Remastered Version]

Does anyone know if you could stream multiple versions of a song to contribute more to its chart performance? There are two versions of Bowie's Let's Dance in the Spotify top 200. Could it work like multi-buying if they are treated as separate on Spotify ie, contribute 2 X 0.7 chart sales ?

right now combined:

1 Heroes 1,09

2 Starman!!!! 1,01

3 Stitches 1,00

4 Love yourself 0.88

A slight reshuffle of the 2nd to 4th highest Bowie tracks - 'Starman' is now second (at #5), 'Let's Dance' also overtaking 'Life On Mars?' (so they're now at #6 and #7). Obviously ignoring the multiple versions for all of them, but as above 'Starman' is now also ahead of Shawn Mendes combined. Most of the Bowie songs are still in green.
Because I want to. And because some numptys on Twitter and YouTube have confused the geezer who made House Every Weekend for David Bowie

tbh this is the iTunes chart after all so no update is pointless. It certainly serves more of a purpose than just words being typed in this thread.

What makes it pointless is you're typing out an update each time for something that's languishing in the 400s and maybe moving 5 places either way each time just because of a vague connection with the name.

crazy how well Starman is doing, had to youtube it cos I wasn't even sure how the song went...
'Starman' is probably the highest coz there is a viral video going around of everyone on the streets of Brixton singing along to it.

It doesn't matter whether it's in the 400s or not, this is the iTunes thread so it is in relation to iTunes. If it disturbs you that much then take no notice of it, 99% of updates that get posted in the iTunes thread week after week are pointless to me (even the songs in the top 10) but I don't take much or any notice of them.

Maybe also cos 'Starman' is also one of the best Bowie songs :)

This. It's also one of his best known and most played and the accompanying TOTP clip is THE definitive Bowie moment. How on earth did you not know how it goes!?

It seems as though Bowie has peaked for now, apart from Lazurus, which is pleasing to see - get that last hit single, Bowie  (Hopefully Radio 2 move it to A list). The second version of Heroes seems to be really loosing steam now, and lots of the other ones are showing signs of possibly falling a bit.
