Hello all and welcome to Farahtyn, for the seventh in the Re:Loaded series. I would tell you more but I am hoping that Tirren is going to fill you all in later on.

 

Anyway briefly we are back in June 2008. So some of these entries such as Katy Perry and Lady Gaga aren't as cheap as they may now appear, although some entries just well are. Either former UK hits or newer songs by people with big success in the past. Anyway, Katy Perry ended up winning. Somehow The Saturdays didn't qualify from the semi finals last time.

 

Also I am going with the same order for the semi finals as last time so Quotosibb who hosted originally hosted will auto qualify.

I'm so looking forward to this. I still love Colour Me Dirty so much and Mine All Mine remains an absolute classic.

Hopefully Chasing the Light can finally get the success it deserves! :heart:

looking back and it seems there were a few v wrongful dnqs!!

 

justice for 'Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)', 'Disco Lies' and 'Video Killed the Radio Star' this time please.

 

also 'Just Dance' to do better than 'I Kissed A Girl' this time around hopefully.

The Saturdays to not qualify again please. I know a really large amount of these songs, most of them are better than that, I'm SURE there's a few gems there that I don't know (there always are) and I'm sure even Saturdays fans would agree with me that it's among the WHITEST OF WHITE BREAD pop there.

 

Also, it'd be hilarious.

Man, when you're used to the Freemasons remix of Sandcastle Disco the original sounds like it's in slow motion.

 

Going through this now, it's pretty fun actually, and pretty high on quality, there's a couple of really good pop songs I didn't know before in here already.

I will try and put in the links today, I have been stuck on my iPad most of the week.

One of the Youtube links for Lady Flame says it was an entry for 'Kyrgyzstan' in some other online competition :D We're not the only ones responsible for some of these Youtube uploads.

 

I'd like to know why I haven't majorly gotten on Amy Studt before this, Chasing The Light is transcendent.

Voted. Colour Me Dirty is still one of Ashton's absolute finest <3 I think this contest is when FSR Ashvia really got going.

It really was the birth of FSR Ashvia. Mine All Mine remains utterly fabulous :wub: I was gutted I couldn't find a Mira or Maria CD when I was in Oslo. Really would have adored to have been able to pick up this on CD.

 

Don't think Colour Me Dirty will do quite as well this time round. It was the first time an entry was followed by the artist though, dubbing us the 'Mighty Ashton' and earning us a new years shout from RBW :wub: You Made Your Bed then became the first BJSC entry sanctioned by the actual artist.

Any progress with this Martyn? I was hoping that by the time I returned from being away over the last few days that this would be onto the final, so hopefully we can get it started over the next couple of days? Unless there is a severe lacking of votes of course.

So is this a re-play of a past contwst?

Oh yes this had slightly fallen off my radar but I will definitely vote if there is an extension of some sort!
