Any reason for this climbing?

Was there any reason why Fast Car was remixed by at least three artists in a short amount of time? Like an anniversary of the original or something? Surely can't be coincidental :P

Normally because one person has the idea and is immediately joined by a ton of cash-in copycats, sometimes the copies winning over the original.

Happened with the Pump Panel Reconstruction mix of New Order's 'Temptation' in 2000 (Operation Blade and Phatt Bass), the multiple 'Waiting for a Star to Fall' remixes in 2005 and all the Baywatch ones the following year.

OMG Avicii covering Pixie Lott though!! :cheeseblock:

Hmm I will get some earplugs n listen to those conpeting Fast Cars then...

*:JONNY: ffs how many times

And I believe the Pixie song was just Broken Arrow and it most definitely isn't a cover/sample/remake of any kind

Earplugs or earphones?

They performed on Jonathan Ross last night

Jonas Blue keeps climbing, at 0.895 now

Tiesto #17 doing pretty well too

That's amazing for Tiesto :o doesn't sound commercial at all. Plus Natalie La Rose is hardly a big name feature in the UK at least.
86  Selena Gomez - Hands To Myself
Yay! This is pleasing to see.

She is slightly well known, a lot of people probably know her from Somebody which was a decent sized hit if I remember rightly.

It's probably because Oliver Heldens is a household name in the dance music world (eg the success of Koala and Gecko )

I'd say Tiesto is the most well-known of the trio, whereas Oliver Heldens sounds the most 'current'. I agree about Natalie La Rose - Somebody is a very well-known song but her presence on this track doesn't guarantee a chart hit.

That Rudimental song is months old and didn't impress me much at the time! With the exception of 'Never Let You Go', their second era has felt disappointing to me and the reliance on Ed Sheeran to chart indicative of the commercial decline of British Dance music in the last 12 months.

Apparently Zayn's debut single comes out on Friday 29th so it will be interesting to see how that does?
I always assumed Tracy Chapman was a man, I am quite shocked that she isn't.
I'm quite shocked at the amount of new music around now, where did it all come from  just a case of getting rid of the deadwood.
Well most of them aren't that new really, been hits elsewhere already just a case of taking an age to catch on here and it's all come in one go  definitely much needed!

I used to think that as well! She has got quite a masculine voice IMO.

Keep climbing  Rachel
