current/potential future hits update -

04. Secret Love Song (feat. Jason Derulo) - Little Mix (also #129 and #151)

206. I Took a Pill in Ibiza (SeeB Remix) - Mike Posner

One of the versions of "Secret Love Song" is Part 2 which doesn't count as that charts separately. Also, I hope "I Took A Pill In Ibiza" can do a massive jump so it can enter the top 40 officially

Ohhhh, I thought it just contributed to the main song's chart position. thanks for the info :D

No, as far as we know, part 2 is combined. It's barely any different to just being an acoustic version.
Beyoncé's career is over because 'Formation' hasn't charted :snif: :snif:

It's a Tidal Wave of Big Artists failing to chart as high as they should :)

Kanye West next week?

It will be interesting to see 'Formation' does in the official charts, I'm predicting it around to go around #20-28?
I want it to go top 10 so she can match Calvin Harris' record of most top 10 hits on one studio album

I think it could go number one. Hoping so as I'd like her to extend her lead as 'most number ones for a female solo'~

Sorry for answering my own question but looks like it will just be "Waves", nothing Tidal about it...

Will it count though? I mean "Rather Be"/"My Love"/"Not Letting Go" were just tagged onto the deluxe and had been hits well before the album release (well, two of them).

"Ain't Got Far To Go" to #83 & #493. Climbing nicely - also #192 on spotify. Should start climbing a lot on spotify with its airplay picking up a bunch.

So long as she releases it on iTunes and Spotify at the same time and on a Friday, I can't see why it wouldn't go to at least top 10, the buzz has been huge.

Because the actual song is awful maybe.

That's a matter of opinion, much the same with 'Work'.

Huge amounts of people, including myself, love Formation.

Roughly how many sales in total are made per day on iTunes? looking at the chart you would think it would be near zero judging by how stagnant the positions of songs are.

Or perhaps songs are just selling consistently, relative to each other?

You talk like your opinion influences the chart..... :P

I just think the video is 100 times better and more powerful than the actual song. Any song that uses the word 'slay' (ban it) about 50 times should flop on all levels.

When was the last time Beyonce actually had a big hit here any way, she seems to be living off her name rather than actually releasing a great song.

A few months ago on Lose It All.

And from her last album with Drunk in Love...

Foundation is just ok but coming from someone who doesn't usually latch onto a Beyonce song. This should do quite well with her big fanbase and awaited comeback. Not sure if it will do as well as Work though but will depend on playlisting/availability etc.

You're welcome to think that of course but I've seen lots of positivity for the song itself and a good video can work wonders for a song that may, in the eyes of some, be considered weak otherwise. If it had a conventional release, I think it could've had a top 5 debut at least.

As has been said, Beyoncé's featured on Naughty Boy's Runnin' (Lose It All) which has been huge, as well as her own Drunk In Love which took off in the chart before it was even a single. Her self-titled album sold very well too, so it's more than just name power.
