OOPS. Going to have a few unhappy people after this set!

 

Taking songs from all of her studio albums, we start off with Big Girl Now which I actually really like, and it's one of Gaga's strongest features for me. Black Jesus | Amen Fashion is the second song from BTW to fall, the rompous, camp, eccentic catwalk number that works as a bonus track but doesn't really offer too much to the album as a whole. Retro, Dance, Freak basically sums up the first era wonderfully in terms of the title but as a song it is quite forgettable so a relatively well deserved position for it here.

 

And ARTPOP takes a bit of a battering with two tracks falling from it. Thankfully the weakest track on it for me Fashion! is out - it starts beautifully with that lovely instrumental but it descends into a bit of a mess very quickly and really is a wasted opportunity based on how alluring those first 5 seconds are. And brace yourself Lotti, Mattias and a few others.. Dope is dope no more :') The slowest, most refrained number on the latest studio album stands out on it for that reason and it's actually a welcome relief from the intensity of the rest of the album but you guys are not loving it a whole lot as it doesn't even make the top 50 oops. I am not a *huge* fan of it either but i'm trying to stay IMPARTIAL for this one here to keep my job. That artwork too.. :mellow: ~

Yesss I've always found 'Dope' so overrated! Would go as far as saying it's my least favourite on ARTPOP. :ph34r:

 

The real casualty for me is Black Jesus | Amen Fashion :( Incredibly uplifting and fun song with on point production.

Teeth beating Dope is a JOKE :arrr: Dope is gorgeous, forever underrated :snif: Sticks out on the album in such a huge, positive way!

I really like it too, one of the few times I would sincerely like to use the word "underrated".

I always found "Black Jesus | Amen Fashion" to be underrated. It's so gloriously camp it hurts.
