This basically. This is happening with all my faves, it's so frustrating, she's only 34! :arrr: She's basically the same age as Katy and Gaga but because she's been out for more than 10 years they suddenly wanna act like she never existed  This ageism is only a recent thing, radio still played Janet and Madonna well into the early 2000s.

It's just... What the hell is she gonna have to do to get people to listen

I'm glad someone else see's it.

She could have released One Dance, Work, Work from home or any of this years worldwide hits and people would see "Britney" and ignore it. :(

Not in the US. Her airplay is increasing at a brilliant rate and is likely to become her biggest radio hit in a while! I completely see what you mean for the UK & the average Joe seeing her name and ignoring it on that basis alone. Although, I do believe it's FAR too early to be labelling it a "flop", no matter how likely the outcome is, we really CAN'T be doing it in this day & age and the amount of hits this year alone that looked likely to struggle, but went on to be hits, despite "disappointing" peaks.

Radio 1 and Capital piss me off no matter what though, so I'm in complete agreement with you in terms of radio play for the UK. Especially Capital! They're always posting positive stuff about her/her IG posts and videos etc... but when it comes to the song and when it comes to radio actually being able to help in a songs success and how they have treated past songs by other artists by not continuing to support the song just because it's not a hit straight away is ridiculous. The whole Carly Rae and 'Run Away With Me' situation is still one of the most infuriating things I've ever seen from Capital.

I just want radio in the UK to rally behind it, because I do believe it'll have a knock-on effect and like you guys have said, it's her most radio friendly single in a long, LONG time.

But Tyler is also right, tbh UK success isn't really a big deal to me anymore. Especially if she's delivering the goods! As far as I'm concerned, if she's releasing stuff and I'm happy with it, I couldn't care less. I might get a bit frustrated a few times, but I'll be over it a lot quicker than I would've been say, 5 years or so ago.

I don't expect much from the UK but the US is her biggest market and it seems to be doing alright there!

Songs never peak on the first week unless you're a very small handful of artists - so it's too early to say in the US. All the new releases are having big falls on iTunes. 5Sos, Snakehips (who had a boost in the UK from TOTD). Ariana is a hugely hyped artist but Dangerous Woman took forever to peak in the US because it took a long time for radio to catch up.

I'm addicted to this now *.*. I love the guitar, especially in the chorus, and the post-chorus bridge after the second and third chorus gives me life. G-Eazy's feature is also a welcome addition. Her best single since 'Break the Ice' :D

I completely agree with Viper with regards to success or lack of it in the Uk. But I don't think this is the case in the US. The early signs look very good for the US and I'm hoping she will have a slow burner there. She's had a good first week. There's no banner on Uk itunes btw, ever though there's one on the US itunes. I think that again shows they are not so certain about success in the Uk. Hell, I've been promoting this single in the Uk more than Britney's team.

Like, in America, Needed Me never went near top 10 on US iTunes but was top 10 on Billboard due to good streaming and really good airplay. Both of which Britney is increasing at at a pleasing rate. It's only NOW, that iTunes is catching on for Needed Me. Dangerous Woman peaked at #8 on its 11th week. #SlowCharts

Bit of a tumble on US Spotify down to 45 and down worldwide. Hopefully a blip.

Right I love the guitar and her falsetto

The only thing I don't like about it is the little high-pitched voice/noise thing in the background that seems to be in every song these days!

She was really unluck - just last week, she'd have been Top 35 with those sales.

I hope by some miracle she can climb back into the top 40 here at some point. The song really deserves it. Such a shame Hot Hits UK playlist won't add it on Spotify.

Those first week sales are also not far off those of 'Pretty Girls' which reached #16. Good going considering one was held back for a long period and one has only just been released and is little known outside her fanbase.

I guess that's it for the UK then, it's tumbled too far down iTunes for when the video comes for it to have a big enough effect to get noticed by Radio. Capital will probably drop it on Wednesday as a result of this and there's no way Radio 1 will touch it.

But I'm focusing on America - pull through USA! <3
