Presumably, Viola Beach will reach #2 tonight, can't see them getting to #1 though.

Mike Posner starting to pick up airplay from Capital (and no doubt from Radio 1 soon enough), I can easily see "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" outperforming "Cooler Than Me" now

I'm so pleased to see 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza' becoming a hit, been loving that for months but just assumed it'd be one of those that fell by the wayside.
I've yet to hear the radio edit, it's just called 'Ibiza' on the Capital playlist. I'm very curious to hear it if anyone has a link.

The US radio edit only bleeps out the "f***" at the beginning and that's it.

I would've expected the US edit to be more censored though, as they tend to be more conservative (at least with the CHR/Pop format).

It wouldn't surprise me if I Took A Pill In Ibiza challenged for the top spot in a month or so, the video will be out soon too which will help. I don't see anything challenging 7 Years for a few weeks away (unless a song performed at the Brits shoots a song(s) up.

 

Work will probably reclimb once the video comes out.

Capital tends not to censor too much, does it? I remember on Scream & Shout, they never censored "Britney, Bitch" even during daytime plays.

Radio 1 are well known for super-censoring songs though, wouldn't surprise me if they edited out the pill reference.
