If Leicester had lost today, I do wonder whether Spurs might have caught them. But think that point will make all the difference, that said, pressure is well and truly on now. If they slip up, Spurs could sneak it.

I understand what Lescott meant, and I don't think he meant it in the way it's been interpreted by the media. That said, if you were a Villa fan, you'd be mortified.

Brilliant effort from Liverpool today, 10 changes and we got 3 points! Slightly surprised I must admit. Anyone doubting Sturridge knows nothing about football! Guy was unbelievable today. If we can keep him fit for 2/3rds of the season, I'd be really confident about next season.

I don't think Spurs have enough time to catch Leicester, if there was another 10 games, they would pimp them to the post.

With regards to Lescott, the way I heard it, it was we have nothing to play for, so we can put in a good performance now as we have no pressure. AKA we have 4 games to prove to another premier league club it was all the others and not me that were the problem.

In other thoughts. Am I right in thinking that Sunderland are the only team of the three that could realistically still go down, that basically have a relegation pay cut clause in most of their first teams contracts. Considering how many seasons we have been circling relegation it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm going to Newcastle v City on Tuesday, got a really big feeling that Newcastle will beat City.
Newcastle vs Tottenham on the last day of the season could be the biggest game of all time in the Premier League if Newcastle aren't officially relegated or officially safe by then and if Tottenham would still have a mathematical chance of winning the league.

It'll be the biggest game for some time for Tottenham Hotspur if they still have a mathematical chance of winning the league.

Think Tottenham and Stoke will be a 1-1 draw tonight, Stoke is a difficult stadium to go to.

Should be a great atmosphere there mate, enjoy!

Be interesting to see if one win can invigorate Newcastle. City can't afford to slip up if they want to keep 4th place but you can be sure Rafa will have a plan. Tough to call.

So Spurs smashed Stoke 4-0 and Man City could only manage a draw against Newcastle. At the bottom that puts the pressure onto Sunderland.
This draw for Newcastle points even further towards a Norwich relegation. If Man Utd win tomorrow then the gap on City will only be 2 points, I still don't think we'll finish in the top four but at least we can make them and Arsenal sweat a bit.
Newcastle deserved to beat City, should have taking their chances especially the one in the closing minutes, think they if they manage to get seven points from Liverpool, Palace and Villa then they will survive!

What was the atmosphere like, Lee?

Newcastle will feel that they could have got two more points there.

Carroll in fine form at the moment with an opening goal between West Ham and Watford and yet Hodgson won't pick him for the Euros.

Good form, but to be fair to Hodgson, he would be made to take him if you're taking 5 strikers.

Great to destory Everton again  Don't know why people think this Everton team are great, tale Lukaku out and they would be fighting relegation.

Can't believe people want Barkley to start at the Euros.

The atmosphere was incredible, City fans were non existant and the Newcastle fans were roaring the entire match, the difference in atmosphere between this game and the game against Bournemouth last month is scary.

Personally I don't want Barkley anywhere near the England team, nor Stones for that matter.

There's a lot of talent in that Everton squad but some gaping holes as well. I'm just confused as to how Martinez ever took them to 5th.

Some good talent, but also highly overrated. Barkley/Stones being the two prime examples. Martinez has fully Wiganised Everton and it's brilliant :D

Important 3 points for us tonight. Keeps the pressure very firmly on Arsenal and City.

I actually think the biggest threat for anyone in or around the top 6 is the pressure Liverpool are putting on United. I wouldn't be shocked to see City-Liverpool-United in 4th-5th-6th.

Great performance from the Gunners tonight. Except Giroud, obviously.
