So it is goodbye to another 'Basic Instinct' track in the form of...

 

16. Ciara - Gimme Dat (30.00%, 9 votes)

 

Another Ciara banger out and another single from her fourth studio album, meaning that 'Basic Instinct' is the first album to have all of its singles eliminated (and all before the top 15 which is exceptionally poor). 'Gimme Dat', although not her best known high-energy track, is certainly one of the most catchy with a hook that refuses to let you out of it's grips as soon as you hear it. Maybe it was the song's repetitive nature that didn't go down too well with you, or maybe it was too sonically similar to her previous single 'Work' to make it stand out. Unsurprisingly it failed to catch the imagination of the general public either, failing to chart worldwide, peaking at just #111 in the UK (so sad). It isn't my Ciara favourite by any means but I do think that it is a bit of a bop and deserved to do a tad better than it has on here. Maybe it is just because I love watching her dance so much and I love any Ciara upbeat package along these lines. She just does this kind of thing so perfectly.

'I'm Out' again. Sad to see all the 'Basic Instinct' singles have gone now 😔

'Gimmie Dat' is basically one of her BEST. Such fiiiiire. Shame on Buzzjack for voting it out.

 

I went for 'Promise', it's kinda boring.

Okay I'm NOT okay with 'Sorry' going already! I saw it had picked up a few votes but didn't realise it was likely to go so soon 😭

I liked it at first but didn't love it, but since its release it's grown on me so so much to the point that it's one of my favourites. So effortlessly beautiful. + the bridges are heavenly.
