I can't claim to be a major fan, but I think Lawson are actually one of the better boybands we've had thrown at us in the last 5 years. It does feel like they've been forced upon us, seeing as they haven't had a long running hit, but it's a shame to see this one doing badly. I saw them at V Festival last year and I was really impressed by them. "Standing In The Dark", "Roads" and "Learn To Love Again" are my faves. I'd take them over 5SOS, The Vamps or Union J any day.

I think all boybands seem to be declining worldwide, I know 5SOS are still the most popular boyband but their recent album has done nowhere near as well as a lot expected it to do. It wouldn't surprise me if the The Vamps were dropped following this campaign as each single & the album has performed poorly and hasn't sold as much as it should have. Union J are over.

yep, the oversaturated boyband market we've had to deal with had to come to an end inevitably. I'm not surprised. One D really chose a great time to go on hiatus.

there'll probably be a time when boybands are a big thing again but that'll be a few years from now whilst record companies try to solve the "problem" of streaming denying frontloaded boyband releases from instantly entering the uk top five.

...until 5 Seconds Of Summer make a return, but hopefully they'll wait longer than 5 seconds to come back :D

Lawson have never really appealed to me, I do quite like Money and it shouldn't be doing this badly for them but I wouldn't be sad to see the back of them.

As for 5SOS/The Vamps, the 5SOS album has done fine (if not exceptionally), it was always going to be more frontloaded than the debut because that happens with most second albums. Hey Everybody pretty much killed the campaign as it wasn't a very good single choice, plus they stopped doing their usual physical releases etc. The Vamps just didn't work out with OA/OS, and radio hasn't been as kind to them this era due to that. I'd be shocked if they got dropped  They're no doubt making lots of money through tours and merchandise. I think Dan's right, record labels need to re-adjust strategies to get boyband songs into the charts again.

I don't think any of these boybands have chosen the right songs personally. I thought She's Kinda Hot was really fun, but it was a 4th single at best, nothing to lead a campaign with, then they released 'Hey Everybody' with the album which was absolutely terrible and rightfully flopped despite a huge push from Radio 1. 'Jet Black Heart' was something really different for them and should have done a lot better but as Joseph touched on, radio just wasn't there for it by that time...

All of The Vamps single choices have been good, but nothing to stand out, they're sleeping on the Silento collab which could really put them back on the map, not sure what they're doing there to be honest.

Lawson have a nice sound but are way to bland and middle of the road now. I can see 'Money' being either their last or second to last single before they say goodbye for good.

Well that's a rather odd collaboration  I'll give it a listen nonetheless (especially as I have actually heard a Silento song that is actually listenable :o )

Can't remember what it was called but there was a thread made about it.

Smash hit in waiting :(

I think whoever is managing their campaign is being nothing short of idiotic for not releasing this, at this point it's too late. They had their one chance with this if they'd rushed it out second instead of 'Rest Your Love'.

1. Sigala - Say You Do (feat. Imani & DJ Fresh) [Radio Edit] 1.0000

2. Mike Posner - I Took a Pill in Ibiza (Seeb Remix) 0.9906

99. DJ Snake - Middle (feat Bipolar Sunshine)

This song makes me laugh so much

Really hoping DJ Snake can become a hit eventually. Same with Flo Rida's "My House" actually (currently at #82) - too good to not become chart hits. This new streaming era has a way of making sure good tracks become hits though - G-Eazy, Alan Walker and twenty one pilots are recent examples I can think of.

just realised theres a 2nd version of I took a pill lower than the charts so it's been #1 combined all this time
Sia making amazing progress! I can see this being one of those big number 4 sort of peaking singles. Similar to 'Where Have You Been' & 'Wild Ones' etc...

Where Have You Been

She still has no support tho - if it's a good track and gets support she could peak in the coming weeks!

Iggy is doing tragically bad. All the way down to #60 already.

It's doing about how I expected really. She doesn't have much of a core fanbase and radio haven't jumped on board massively yet. It's how it does in the long run which matters I think.

I'm not professing it to be the end of 'Team' yet or anything but after having such a big first era I thought she would maybe have enough hype to get 'Team' top 10 or even top 20 on iTunes for a while. After all she is basically the second biggest female rapper.

Sales are so low as well. I definitely expected her to be more that 14 places higher than an instant grat from the new All Saints album for example.

I read that All Saints did some big promo, that's why they were so high... but I get your point, I also expected more, top 20 minimum before dropping...
