Apologies for the halt in proceedings. Had the busiest week ever so been very M.I.A. so it's really time to get a move on...

11. Ciara - Body Party (28.57%, 8 votes)

So the unlucky song to just miss out on the top 10 of the rate is 'Body Party'. Released as the second official single from her self-titled fifth studio album (or fourth if you include the false start non-album singles), 'Body Party' seems to be relatively well thought of without being anyone's favourite. To the surprise of many at the time, the song became her first single to really catch the imagination of the US general public in almost 5 years, becoming her highest charting single since 2009's 'Love Sex Magic'. It went on to peak at #22 on the US Billboard Charts, bagging itself the status of being a Platinum selling single while it was at it; not too bad at all. I have grown to really rather love 'Body Party' now but even I have to admit I am still a bit flummoxed to why it caught on so much more than any of her efforts in the years prior to it's release. It is a strong track but definitely not one of her best, meaning I agree with it's placing at around the middle of the rate.

so so hard for me now.

was between 'overdose' and 'i bet' as i enjoy them both but think both are over-rated when compared to the other 8 gems left. ended up going for 'overdose' as although very good, it is just a little too pop for my tastes when it comes to ciara. her pop stuff is good but doesn't have anything on her pure r&b stuff for me as she just does that so incredibly perfectly.
