Is he definitely losing it though? Won't a 50% lead over Sia and Mike Posner be enough to secure no 1 on downloads alone?

+ Sia is not gaining on itunes, if something she lost a bit today :(

He doesn't have a 50% lead, Sia is at about 56% and as of Thursday's mids, 46% of her sales were from streams (most likely over 50% with missing Spotify/Apple Music data added for Friday's chart). I expect Sia will get #1 unless Drake puts the song on Spotify this week.

Oop, sad for Sia but Drake is so far ahead on sales that it's obviously by far the most popular song around at the moment and she would only be getting the #1 by default.

I believe it never was. I agree it is better but it's a lot less commercial than 'Like I Would' is so I can see why it wasn't chosen, even if it may have been a better move for him as an artist.

No idea, but Like I Would is A list on Radio 1 now, so I'd say it's massively under-performing after the huge success of Pillowtalk. The single is indeed rather weak.
