Surprised "Most Beautiful Girl In The World" isnt charting at all

Indeed, i too would have thought Most Beautiful Girl In The World would be climbing. That said, is it listed as Prince or Symbol. If people are typing in Prince it will most likely not appear.

Gutted about Prince. What a great great talent, so influencial. This is really going to effect me so much more than most celebrity deaths :cry:

 

'When Doves Cry' is one of my all time favourite songs so please let that go as high as possible again, albeit under horrible circumstances.

Never been a fan of the song 'Purple Rain' but I've enjoyed '1999' and 'Little Red Corvette' whenever they've been on the radio (lots of times on Absolute 80s).

 

'Purple Rain' seems like a fitting tribute song to lead the pack, for the song itself and the fact it had a much lower peak than its status and popularity would suggest, which seems to be a common feature in regards to what's chosen to particularly show respects with.

Prince is #11 already, he'll be at least #2 by tonight. Didn't Bowie Heroes "only" get to #4?

I am a little bit as well. Despite it being his only no.1 single it always struck me as being relatively forgotten.

Still, I would have expected it to have penetrated the top 1500 by now....

I hate to look like I'm spamming but interestingly, and incredibly coincidentally, Purple Rain by Prince has been hanging around in the top 100 of the Swedish iTunes charts for the last few days - almost as if they had envisioned it in advance. It wasn't 59p or anything so it's just pure coincidence. :o
