April 19, 20169 yr yay great for PJ Harvey! Wonder if Aled Jones could be #1 next week, he seems to be the one selling the most right now Seems to be a strong contender! Unless Katherine Jenkins or Katy B can get there. Will probably be with 10k-13k sales but I'd rather he got it because he'll at least stick around. Kind of reminiscent of Paul Simon last year.
April 19, 20169 yr I've just noticed Drake is on track for 100k+ sales too! I personally find it odd how quickly this has taken off; just feels like all the other #1s this year have really shown their popularity before officially hitting the mark. Of course, I'm sure it's going to take no time at all for this to establish how much it deserved the #1 spot.

Kind of reminiscent of Paul Simon last year. think Katy B will sadly underperform despite the big support she's got from R1 but maybe Beyonce releases this weekend :D Edited April 19, 20169 yr by Bjork
April 19, 20169 yr I made the mistake of assuming they were all plus signs too, don't worry mdh
April 19, 20169 yr Ah so still in the Play Zone :) (but can't imagine it'll stay there...) Hopefully Roses can climb at least 2.
April 19, 20169 yr Hello, does anybody know where this Madonna re-release fell to in Tuesday's update?
April 19, 20169 yr Hello, does anybody know where this Madonna re-release fell to in Tuesday's update? It's nowhere to be seen, so it must have been withdrawn or ruled ineligible.
April 19, 20169 yr We think that it's appearance in the album update was an error and it has been moved to the singles chart, but just didn't have enough sales to make the update. Not sure what the rules are regarding 4 track EPs, but it is possible that sales from the EP will be added to the total of the song 'Like a Virgin', which stand at well over 800k.
April 20, 20169 yr Seems to be a strong contender! Unless Katherine Jenkins or Katy B can get there. Will probably be with 10k-13k sales but I'd rather he got it because he'll at least stick around. Kind of reminiscent of Paul Simon last year. It is looking more and more like Katherine Jenkins will get the top spot next week, she is up to number 3 on Amazon pre-orders and in one of the most tenuous tie-ins of all time she has called the Album "Celebration" and it is being marketed as a tribute to the Queen turning 90 ! Katherine’s album pays tribute to Her Majesty The Queen on her 90th birthday, with such songs as ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’, which was the most popular song in the year the Queen was born, and the rarely-heard three-verse rendition of the national anthem. The album is Katherine’s first since having a baby, and opens with the newly commissioned song, ‘This Mother’s Heart’, as Katherine’s gift to the Queen. The TV coverage over the next few days will surely be enough to get it to top!
April 20, 20169 yr Yeh Katherine Jenkins will be no1 right enough - and with decent sales with all the coverage over the coming weeks of the Queens 90th - yous Brits love anything to do with the monarchy :P
