April 29, 201610 yr Hearing this right after Purple Rain makes it sound even more rubbish than usual :/
April 29, 201610 yr Not exactly, but they did make some odd decisions (i.e. playing PILLOWTALK instead of No, Panda or The Sound Of Silence) but Panda was top 25?? Surely it'd get a play regardless

April 29, 201610 yr I'm fashionably late this evening and switched on just in time to hear Prince's new peak for Purple Rain. Sad that he's gone, but glad a new generation are now hearing his music.

Like fellow undergrad Asher Roth, Posner began making melodic pop-rap songs for the college crowd, filling his music with references to fraternity culture, dorm life, and young adulthood. He also compiled several mixtapes, one of which -- A Matter of Time -- topped the digital charts during the summer of 2009. After signing with J Records, he finished his degree, graduated with a 3.59 GPA, and released his full-length debut, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, in the summer of 2010. The album featured the worldwide hit "Cooler Than Me," and reached the Top Ten in the U.S. J Records dissolved soon after, and Posner moved to the parent label, RCA, but only after some legal wrangling, which was referenced in the title to his 2011 mixtape, The Layover. His career with RCA officially began late that same year with the December release of "Looks Like Sex." Two more singles, "The Way It Used to Be" and "Top of the World" (featuring Big Sean), followed in 2013 as preludes to his second official album, Pages. - iTunes Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): 2010 05 Cooler Than Me -1- 2011 04 With Ur Love (Cher Lloyd Feat. April 29, 201610 yr Was just thinking if he'd kept to the usual format today we'd only have had 1 Beyonce and 1 Prince track played in full.
April 29, 201610 yr this remix of 'i took a pill in ibiza' is still sounding GLORIOUS~ :music:
April 29, 201610 yr Is it just me who thinks the Dnce song isn't very good then? Amazes me how it's got this high
April 29, 201610 yr That was incredible hearing the full version of Purple Rain just then, a very fitting tribute. I'm glad they altered the chart this week to accommodate such. In other news wow at the Beyoncé invasion, I've yet to hear any song yet so a fair bit to catch up with. Amazing to see Disturbed enter & Middle be the highest climber :D Top it all off with a third week at #1 for King Drake
April 29, 201610 yr 'work from home' :music: how is DUNCE detritus so high?! :manson: They performed on Graham Norton and got a big boost from it last Friday.
April 29, 201610 yr Is it just me who thinks the Dnce song isn't very good then? Amazes me how it's got this high Definitely not just you.
April 29, 201610 yr As for me, Cake should've been moved back behind the Prince. Especially considering my disdainful attitude towards DNCE. It's funky, yeah, but not my cup of tea actually.

She started her career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s. In 1997, when Crisp disbanded, she released her debut studio album titled OnlySee on Flavoured Records in Australia. Following the event, she moved to London, England and provided lead vocals for British duo Zero 7. In 2000, Sia signed to Sony Music's sub-label Dance Pool and released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, the following year. Displeased with the promotion of the record, she signed to Go! Beat and released her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004. Dissatisfied with the project's struggling to connect with a mainstream audience, Sia relocated to New York City in 2005 and began touring across the United States. Sia released her fourth and fifth studio releases, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which was preceded by the top-ten single "Chandelier". On 29 January 2016, she released her seventh studio album This Is Acting. Sia's music incorporates hip hop, funk and soul as a base for her vocal styling. In 2014, she was ranked the 97th richest Australian person under the age of 40 by BRW magazine, with a reported net worth of AU$20 million. Her music has received an array of accolades, including ARIA Awards and MTV Music Awards. - Wikipedia Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): Sia 2000 10 Taken For Granted -1- 2000 82 Little Man -2- 2001 91 Drink to Get Drunk -3- 2001 30 Destiny (Zero 7 Feat.
