June 19, 20169 yr So out of the two songs/opening credits for the euros from ITV and BBC which is best? BBC usually do these things best but the ITV cartoon is great IMO whereas the BBC choice of music is great! The music on ITV is annoying but the animations are better than what BBC used so I guess it balances out. I liked the music that ITV used for the 2014 World Cup but the visuals were slightly better for the BBC intro.
June 19, 20169 yr Anyone watching Romania vs Albania at the moment? I am! Albania winning 1-0 at half time and they are in 3rd place as things stand which would give them a chance of making it to the next round, Romania are heading out of the competition.

June 19, 20169 yr Really the BBC should have swapped the matched considering there was more at stake in the Albania-Romania match. At least in my mind. I am glad ITV have most of the last group matches, as the BBC are putting their other one on the red button next time. Gary Linkeker was very dismissive of that match.

The reason why the final matches in each group are played at the same time is because UEFA/FIFA don't want match-fixing to take place. June 20, 20169 yr Yeh if they took place at 5 & 8 it would be terrible. Its the same with the final fixtures in the qualifying matches when Irelandd played Armenia in October 2011 the game started at 6pm because Russia played in thr group and it was all to play for so I had to go to Dublin for a game 2 hours earlier than normal. Think I may chose to watch the Wales game tonight as it has more at stake.
June 20, 20169 yr I wouldn't let myself believe it could happen but Wales have won the f***ing group! CYMRU AM BYTH! Despite the school being in Wales, almost all the kids support England and have been chanting '2-1' at me all week (even tho I don't even hate England like a lot of Welsh people do) and I've taken it all with good humour. But I may not be able to help myself tomorrow...

June 20, 20169 yr I never thought Wales would top the group. England had most of the possession throughout the match, they just didn't take any chances to push harder. I think we play the runners up of Group F in the next stage, could be Portugal or Hungary, I probably fancy Hungary.

Tbh, the one saving grace about finishing 2nd means we don't have the possibility of facing Northern Ireland in the last 16.
June 20, 20169 yr Author Well done to Wales. Fantastic performance from them with the potential to go further in the tournament. They've done the late Gary Speed proud. And a nation proud. 'La Mer' and the animations are good from ITV for their opening titles.

June 21, 20169 yr Spain Vs Croatia (ITV) 8PM kick-off Czech Republic vs Turkey (ITV 4) 8PM kick-off I'll be watching Czech vs Turkey, the Spain match is better on paper but I have a strong feeling that the other match will be more entertaining.
June 21, 20169 yr Germany & Poland into the round of 16 and Slovakia have qualified as well as one of the best third placed teams. Czech Republic & Croatia are likely to join those teams tonight.
