I'm not entirely sure if that's preferable actually :lol: it'll be another 10 men behind the ball display which we are shockingly poor at dealing with, but on the flipside they don't have a Ronaldo who on a good day would tear our defence apart. Iceland have no pressure on them whatsoever too.

That's a really good point although the fact they have no pressure on them means they're probably going to go for it - that's what they're playing like so far so I can't see them doing a Slovakia.

I was watching the Portugal match on the TV and Iceland on my phone. That was so exciting, most enjoyable matches of football for absolutely ages.

It's looking like Croatia could make it to the final judging by the split in the knockout route to the final.

Group F really have been providing the big moments this tournament, insane to think Hungary & Iceland are the top 2, very well done to both and Hungary/Portugal was a hell of a match to watch.

 

Gah, I'm torn with England vs Iceland, obviously preferable from our perspective to Portugal, but I've been rooting for little old Iceland throughout :'(

The best match of the tournament between Hungary and Portugal though.

 

 

England vs Iceland is just a play-off for who will be knocked out by France in the quarters at the end of the day, nothing to get excited about for England.

Hungary could have an easy ride to the semis, been in the other end of the draw, I like to see them go further to the final, they have been my favourite country of this tournament, that match has to be the best game of the tournament, it was nail biting to watch.

Hungary have to be considered a lively outsider now for further success in the Euros.

 

The Hungary v Portugal match nearly had the same amount of goals than there were in Group C.

 

 

England vs Iceland will be one frustrating game unless we score within the first 20 minutes!

Aww at us playing Iceland, I wanted them to shock further but that'd have to be at our expense. Another match like England vs Slovakia where I equally want both sides to do well.

 

Gonna hope Croatia whacks Portugal, the former have been playing very well and don't deserve to go out to the one team that's recently been a 'big team' a lot on that side of the draw.

England have only played Iceland once before, a friendly in 2004. England won 6-1. Somehow I think Monday's game might be a little closer.

Euro 2016 will still go down no matter what happens as the best tournament for the Four Nations bar England.

 

 

A brilliant win for the Republic of Ireland. A repeat of their '94 World Cup win against Italy.

I can't believe how unbalanced the draw looks on paper. We will have a seriously underdog team in the final while Germany, Spain and Italy will need to battle to get to the semi-finals. It's all so exciting when it's like this.

I feel confident England will beat Iceland, we should at least get into the final 8, I think we could be playing France in the last eight if they get through, if Rep. Ireland don't pull another surprise. Its nice seeing the underdogs playing well in this tournament, Hungary are really first class to watch.
