I'm genuinely shocked to see 'Break The Ice' appearing in almost everybody's top 10.

I've never seen the appeal of the song and would always skip it, it passed me by when it was released as a single because of the video..

Just listened to it again to see if I'd missed out on something, but I still can't hear what makes it top 10 worthy.. I'd put it near the bottom!

It's the production that really does it for me. And I love the vocal arrangement. I can't really put my finger on why I like it so much. I'm so glad it's on the Vegas setlist - can't wait to see her perform it:

The intro is phenomenal. Vocally and production wise.

 

That pre chorus, is quite possibly my favorite from Britney, ever, as a segment. "Ooooh, looks like we're alone now // you ain't got to be scared, were grown now // imma hit defrost on ya, let's get it blazing..." Etc.

 

And I love her high notes through that bit. Also, thank you to Danja. Gimme More and Break The Ice are my favorite production moments in pop history.
