Fall Out Boy do see an improvement on last year though. Hi_Tack almost qualified, they were safe in it until failing to get any points from the last 8 or so voters. But at least we've denied something getting through on nearly the name of Girls Aloud alone. That's a previous finalist and I always like seeing those go out. A Moment Like This, Is It Any Wonder and Chelsea Dagger were also in the final last year. As well as... Set The Fire To The Third Bar, which misses out by a mere TWO points. Let me reiterate, three years ago this song came 3rd in its year and went STRAIGHT to the final final. While an unfortunate change of events as it's a bloody great song and easily Snow Patrol's best and it's sad to see it go out on such a low, it shows how much this competition can change. Of the songs that weren't in 2015's run, Something About You, Orson and Jump were the three closest missing out in last year's run of this round so they have another chance, Hoppipolla had a strange underperformance last year as well but comes back strong, and Get Together gets back into the final after a couple of years away. The two I don't remember being in any previous final, at least not in recent years, are Meck's Thunder In My Heart Again and Supermode's Tell Me Why. A big welcome to them.

June 24, 20169 yr Author I do sometimes make a couple of mistakes. The latest one is that I'm so used to everyone putting their favourite song at the top of their votes that I barely bother to check any of the ambiguous situations. But I've noticed awardinary's votes had consistently had most of his nominations at the bottom, so I checked and have confirmed with him that I had added them up wrong. This does not change any of 2007's qualifiers (although it does shuffle around some of the scores), but in 2006 it does change one - Bodyrox's Yeah Yeah now finishes 26th, while Hi_Tack - Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U) is now in the qualification zone (where I don't believe it has been before). I imagine dance fans will be torn.
July 12, 20169 yr Are you joking?!? Bodyrox is ESSENTIAL :( So is 'Make A Move On Me'. Great fun dance track. Freemasons Watchin not getting through :( Their best tune imo. much better than Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer or Uninvited. For me it marks the high point of the nu disco phase that was going on at the time. I am glad that the nu disco Hi-Tack, Meck/Leo Sayer and Booty Luv ones did get through though.
