Did you fall asleep at half time Silas?

We deserved to lose. Not surprising though tonight's match.

Thankfully not. Wasn't as dull as Saturday just very frustrating. The whole end was on the same wavelength. It was just poor in so many ways I just think there was no way back from that line-up. Of the starting XI I'd probably only say Herrera, Bailly and Rojo had a good match
I just can't. How fellaini still has a job I will never know. Should have been hooked. He'd better be on his way elsewhere in June.

Lingard and Rashford were a crap pairing on Saturday. Should have started Martial. Mkhi should have been on an hour before he was. Blind was unfortunate to be hooked but there was definitely some rust in his delivery. Rojo and Bailly had the measure of Lukaku all match. Rojo and De Gea 100% to blame for that goal.

Silver lining is we haven't lost since October and Shaw did really well, he got us the penalty that saved us. He had a good match so that's got to be a good boost for him. Pogba made a massive difference. But an attack that has Lingard, Rashford and Fellaini in should never be played again. Three of them can't play together at all.

Mourinho doesn't rate Martial at all imo, I mean he threw practically all your attackers bar Ibra under the bus at the weekend! It was an entertaining game, a bit like the Liverpool-Man City game a couple of weeks ago - lacked real quality, but both teams looked like they could concede more goals.

You are still unbeaten, but I would class it probably as the most underwhelming unbeaten run in history :D Should have really been over tonight, but definitely will be over in the next few games.

Rumours that Mane may be out for the season. If true might that open up the top 4 race again? Otherwise I'd have said Liverpool were safe for 4th.
Would be a big blow but as things stand United don't seem to want top 4 this year and I don't think Arsenal have any life left in them. Can't see anything other than a Chelsea/City/Spurs/Liverpool top 4 barring a major turnaround in fortunes.

In usual circumstances I would say yes, but I think we will be OK without him.

Man Utd and Arsenal both have a hard run in and have to play each other. Reality is I think Liverpool can afford to lose 2 games and draw 2 games and still get Top 4.

I would imagine that the season will finish in its current order. Give or take United and Arsenal swapping places.

In my opinion this has been one of the most boring Premier League seasons of all time, it had a good start but from December onwards it went downhill. The title race was over when Chelsea went on their 13 match winning streak, the relegation battle has been more clear cut than usual and the main story of the season has been who will finish 2nd-4th and which teams will be unfortunate to finish in 5th or 6th place. None of the English teams apart from Chelsea will do anything remarkable in next season's Champions League.

This season certainly doesn't compare to last season which was the best season of all time for the Premier League in my opinion.

The last relegation place could be a titanic battle between quite a few teams. Swansea, Hull, Crystal Palace, West Ham potentially, Leicester, Bournemouth, Burnley. A run of bad form now could be disastrous for them.

I think it's been a good season, certainly interesting. Nobody expected Chelsea to go on a 13 match winning run. When you do that, you're always going to give yourself a massive shot at the league. Chelsea have also been incredibly fortunate with injuries this year, while Liverpool/Spurs/Man Utd/Man City and even Arsenal have had their fair share of injuries to major players.

I think right now you have 6 good clubs, who have lots of things going for them. All have strengths and weaknesses and with a few signings I think any of the teams bar probably Arsenal/Man Utd are capable of winning the title next year (I say this because will lose their best players and yes I am biased, but the Man Utd squad is really poor and Mourinho is going to cause more harm than good imo, it's already showing).

I disagreed United haven't been defeated since October it'll only take a few tweets and the odd 80m signing to change that!

I would say they will challenge next season!

I'd say surely the most boring recent season was Fergie's last, 2012-13. United wrapped up the title with ages to go & all 3 relegations were confirmed before the final weekend.

The best were 2010-11 with that incredible last day relegation scrap & as painful as it is to admit the year after with the Aguero goal to win the title.

Haven't been defeated since October (in the league), but they have been incredibly lucky and had many favourable decisions. They're currently specialists in 1-1, a bit like how Liverpool are specialists in giving teams easy goals!

Look I hate Man Utd so I can admit I am biased, but Mourinho said in the summer with the players he signed he thought they would challenge. The reality is, they are not that good. There are lots of average players in that team who would get nowhere near some of the past sides. Plus just about every player they have with potential have been thrown under a bus by Mourinho. The guy cannot bring through young players because he does not trust them.

Oh Rooney you should start a career as a comedian!!!!

Favourable decisions..... christ I'm laughing so hard I've got a stitch!

I'm talking big decision here, you have scored at least 8 offside goals this year by my counting.

Stuff does go against you sometimes, but on the whole you've definitely benefited from officials this season.

It's been an interesting season wouldn't say it's the most boring season of all time.

I didn't say it has been the most boring, I said it's been "one of the most boring" the season has a anti-climatic feel to it at the moment. I'm looking forward to things starting from fresh next season.

I'd be surprised if it was that many given we've only netted 43 in total this season! As a fan I guess you tend to remember the stuff that goes against you more, like the perfectly legitimate Ibra goals against Everton & Boro.

But overall the main reason we're where we are is simply missing chances, I read we had like a 3.5% shot conversion rate in the 9 home draws this season which is pretty abysmal.

Fully expecting Sunderland to turn up for once against us this Sunday...

I'm so sick of United fans harping on about bad refereeing calls. Arsenal were denied at least two clear penalties in the Ham game, we still won because we created chances rather than relying on being fouled for goals. Nine times out of 10 you'll win the game anyway if you're good enough, so shoving all the blame on the ref is lazy and patronising. Must be an inherited victim complex from Jose.

And to return to the discussion from a few pages up, no, next season will not be the season United finally challenge again because they don't understand that a complete overhaul of the squad is needed. They'll spend 50m+ on three or four star signings, most of whom will flounder because midfield is still a shit show and there's no chemistry between the forwards. This time next year they'll still be bringing on Fellaini as a 70th minute sub, pissing around with Lingard and trying to work out WTF it is that Martial actually does. Occasionally Pogba will show up, more often than not he won't.

Compare and contrast with City. It's interesting because City really aren't in a much stronger position than United right now, but their squad is infinitely stronger. They have days when they look like the best team in the world. So they're 70% of the way to being the complete product. United do not have days when they look anything better than decent, and most of the time they just look confused. No doubt they'll finish 5th next season too.

And I don't mind one bit. :D

I reckon three Offside. The scorpion that would have been an utter crime to disallow and probably two ibra goals. I'd highly doubt its as high as 8 unless you include the ones that were wrongly chalked off for offside when they were onside. It's about a 50/50 split on shite goal decisions.

Number of penalties that have been wrongly given is probably 1 but the number ignored is about 7.

It's been a fairly grim year for refereeing standards. The quality has largely been so poor. We've escaped with some baffling choices, like the two time Rojo should have been dismissed in a row at the end of 2016. I think objectively we've come off worse this year for decisions.

If even half this shit had happened to Liverpool the FA would have been firebombed before Xmas
