Standard of refereeing is utter dire these days. Rojo and Barry should both be off. Barry for a triple yellow that he only had one for and Rojo for a straight red that he got a yellow for. Utter shambles.

Knew I said that Rojo should have been off

The gap between Man United and 2nd placed Liverpool is the same as the gap between Liverpool and Chelsea now! We're playing them at Old Trafford next as well so a win in that match would cut it to 2 points :o

Can't wait for the HOOOF to Ibrahimovic :D

Interesting to see how Mourinho sets up as the home team. No pressure as far as I'm concerned, probably be billed as a six pointer, but I'd happily take a point. Depends if Coutinho is back.

Also, lose this and you will be 8 points behind. Safely say, Mourinho will set up for a draw.

I doubt it, as we're going to be at home I think Mourinho will go for a more attacking approach.

If you got toe to toe with us, I only see one winner - Liverpool.

I'll guess we'll find out on the 15th :D

I'm fairly sure I've said in this thread that Rojo should have been off.

MEN had a good article on the 14 big decisions that had gone wrong in our matches. Two of them were the Rojo red cards and one was the scorpion. We've benefited from three hideous decisions this season but have had two disallowed perfectly fine goals (and an offside one today) and I think half a dozen fair penalty calls ignored. By impartial standards we've come off worse from quite a few games this season, by far far more than we've benefited.

I wasn't denying you said that Rojo should have been sent off. I was merely pointing out that in the last half a dozen games your luck has turned.

You have the worst keeper in the league...

And you have the most expensive side ever assembled.. in 6th place! :P Mignolet has been pretty good since he came back. I've been largely impressed, even the goal we conceded against Stoke which he got slaughtered for was stupid. Sure he could have done slightly better, but the whole team went to sleep for that goal.

The only way I see Liverpool getting beat is something spawny going against us, which happens more often than not at Old Trafford. That said, we're the better team at this moment in time, just so happens both teams are in good form.

Arsenal currently losing 2-0 to Bournemouth. If it ends like this ArsenalFanTV will be very fun to watch tonight
While it's quite funny, Arsenal are nowhere near this bad, the players just don't have the legs. The Christmas period has been ridiculous this season, looks even worse next year!
Shame that ended 3-3 with a last minute Giroud getting them a result they're not entirely deserving of yet again

Yeah it is a shame that Bournemouth couldn't hold on. I bet the Arsenal fans will still moan about tonight's result though!

We've cut the gap on Arsenal to two points now after they were ten points ahead of us not too long ago.

Great comeback but certainly 2 points dropped. The battle for top 4 getting very interesting now ahead of tomorrow night's game.
Bit surprised about that to be honest. Hull looking certain for relegation. Blame the players not Mike. Another club that is a total mess.

Ah see I thought Arsenal really deserved that point, they dug in deep. Bournemouth will hurt the top teams at home, just like Burnley. If anything, it's completely justified for the fluke win they got against Liverpool!

Points dropped probably, but I don't see it that way. I think fans have been given unrealistic ambitions with Chelsea winning 13 games in a row. It's an anomaly which happens once in a blue moon. Sure Manchester United and Spurs have also won lots of games on the bounce (as did Liverpool). Modern football ey, fans looking at the result rather than the perspective!

Yeah saw us dropping points a mile off today. 7 points out of 9 is fine though, and in most seasons our form is title winning.

Fact is, everyone comes up against it in the Christmas period, but we just looked leggy and tired today. Fair play to Sunderland as no matter how terrible it was, they had a good gameplan. Sunderland have been pretty good at home recently and after the Burnley debacle they weren't going to lie and roll over for us. Still, there's a long way to go yet.. just means we have to go to Old Trafford and win :D Thankfully Coutinho and Henderson should be back for that.

Sunderland playing the Moyes way now, have a real chance of escaping relegation!
