Giroud won't be getting goal of the month now, Andy Carroll take a bow...

Amazing goal to see live! Giroud will still get Goal of the Month because he's Arsenal.

If we beat Liverpool tomorrow then we're back in the title race even though we almost certainly wont win the league because we'll only be 2 points behind Liverpool. It's either that or Liverpool's title hopes will be done for, you can't have one rule for one team and have another rule for a different team.

Who knows what will happen! Let's just hope it's a great game. I look forward to seeing both the teamsheets.

The only thing that I know, is Man Utd fans have become exactly like everything they give banter to Liverpool fans about!

Hmm no Clyne, Matip and Coutinho on the bench. Not feeling as confident for this one now!

That said, Coutinho and Sturridge will come on at some point as as long as we're not miles out of sight, there's a chance. Massive day for Alexander-Arnold. My predict is he will get sent off! :D

I desperately want to laugh at Manchester City now but I wont in case it comes back to bite me later on today. Manuel Pellegrini's record is way better than Pep Guardiola's and they just threw him away like a piece of garbage for this?

Anyway the Man City result makes the Liverpool vs Man United match even bigger now!

It's bigger for Man Utd. You need to win, a defeat for us wouldn't be good, but not the end of the world. Long way to go yet and got most of the big teams to come to Anfield.

The Man City squad that Pellegrini left has to be one of the worst squads of a big side in recent years, rarely do you see a squad in such dire need of a complete overhaul. Far too many players that have been there years and are past their peak, far too many signings made during the previous four years that just haven't been up to the required standard. Pellegrini successes: de Bruyne, Fernandinho (but overpriced and old), Sterling maybe but not yet, Sagna considering he was free, Otamendi isn't bad but hardly good and was massively overpriced. Failures: Negredo, Jovetic, Navas, Fernando, Delph, Mangala, Bony. Money spunked up the wall on utter dross.

Guardiola's problem is that he seems to have tried to revamp the wrong areas. A couple of full-backs should have been a massive priority and he's persisted with has-beens whilst so few of his signings have made sense, he had about 7 players worth building around, mainly forward players but thay was then what he signed most of. Nolito cheap and has done well but doesn't address the old squad problem, Sane and Jesus signed for huge fees and all three in position where they have the most talent, Bravo is woeful (not saying replacing Hart was in any way a bad decision, there's no chance he'd be able to play how Pep wants), Gundogan injury prone, just been injured long-term and is now again. And then Stones...

It' a huge job for Guardiola, at the moment he's not doing as well as should be expected, but I don't think he's failing anywhere near as badly as is made out.

Everton are good at home and terrible away. I thought Everton would get a result. But totally agreed, that Man City squad needs a complete overhaul. Some great potential there, but a lot of the players they have are square pegs in round roles for the system Guardiola wants to play. Their defence is terrible.

I think Man Utd fans can stop moaning about all these decisions that go against them now. Fluke of an offside yet again. Our defending was magnificent throughout, a point probably a fair result. Draw doesn't bother me, as long as we're 4-6 points within range of Chelsea by the time we play them then it's all to play for. Should have really won that, but you take the positives out of tough period with injuries for us.

Paul Pogba was an absolute embarrassment today.

It's funny to see that there are some Liverpool fans celebrating this result on Manchester United fan forums/YouTube channels , why on earth is this something to celebrate? today has shown once again that the league is going to Chelsea this season, it's a battle for 2nd-4th now.

It's a bit of a squandered opportunity for Man United but a draw doesn't do too much harm for our top 4 prospects and I can still smile at least at Manchester City getting battered by Everton today.

Urgh. That was frustrating. We weren't good enough today. Better side for massive chunks of the game but yet again our finishing was wasteful.

And Roo it's easy to say that when you're the one benefiting from the shite decisions. I count more than a dozen Liverpool fouls that were either ignored, not carded or had the free kick awarded to you.

It's a fine result for us. We have 10 home games and 7 away games remaining and Chelsea still to play at home. Not saying we are winning the league, but we have our best player coming back and Chelsea without Costa, will struggle at certain points. Nobody wins the league in January.

The delight probably comes from years of getting beat at Old Trafford. I can't remember us ever grinding out a tough win there. If we win at OT we usually win emphatically or don't win at all. A draw doesn't hurt us at all.

Probably shows how different fans find officials! Man Utd got the rub of the green today. No decisions went our way that were not clear! Rooney and Pogba should both have been booked, Pogba practically committed assault (again) when attacking a corner!!

Come off it! If things had gone our way we'd have won that match 1-0. Don't forget your only decent attempt on goal was from a penalty.

You mean when your player launched himself at Pogba to try and bounce him off the ball, then rolled around on the floor when he realised he'd basically just ran into a brick f***ing wall? That was never in a million years a foul and you were lucky not to be carded for simulation.

We had plenty of decent chances. Wijnanldum should have buried that one in the 92nd minute. The penalty was as blatant a penalty as you will see all season, Pogba misjudged that completely. We controlled the tempo and midfield all game. You got in behind quite a few times, but that was always going to happen with the system. It was only when Mourinho went HOOOOF that I actually thought you might get something here.

We gave away some silly fouls, it was a scrappy kinda game. Was hoping Firmino would have actually punched Herrera :D He got what he deserved there.

I think Pogba was too over-excited for this match and it made him perform so nervously, he said in an interview that a match against Liverpool is a lot bigger than a match against Stoke for example. But really all matches should be treated the same with the aim of trying to win the match.

He was garbage. Liverpool pressed him at every opportunity and Lovren had the beating of him at set pieces. It's alright though, he has his own emoticon

John Stones is not a top player period after that performance against Everton today.

By the letter of the law, that shouldn't have been a penalty. It has to be deliberate, he just jumped clumsily. Mind you, I've never bought into that specific description myself & had no qualms with it being awarded.

I thought we would have more cutting edge at times but to their credit they did defend very well throughout most of the match. It was good to see some urgency to get a result in the latter stages, similar to against Boro & I think a draw was a fair result. Top 4 still very much within sight with our next few fixtures.

That City result though wow, puts some perspective on our own 4-0 demolition earlier in the year, at least that was to the league leaders.

He made some mistakes, but their entire defence was absolute rubbish. I agree with the MOTD critique - others are just as culpable.
