April 17, 20178 yr And there could be a sting in the tail for Brighton with Wigan pulling a goal back. Haha Newcastle and Leeds are losing. Edited April 17, 20178 yr by Sakho
April 17, 20178 yr Why the hell not shouldn't there be a pitch invasion? Brighton realistically have done it. It's their first time in the Premier League.
April 17, 20178 yr Congratulations Brighton, well deserved. I've missed a few home games this season but they're by far the best team I've seen at Ashton Gate this season (I said the same last season as well). A decent point for us today even though we should have won really. It's looking better for us than it did two weeks ago though, four points clear with three games to play. Not quite safe yet but another win should do it.
April 17, 20178 yr It's now confirmed :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Thanks to Derby (my mother's team) I don't have to worry about freak results leaving me with egg on my face.
April 17, 20178 yr Congratulations to Brighton! It will be nice to watch them on Match Of The Day next season. They're definitely going to come straight back to the Championship though!
April 17, 20178 yr Mad! I don't really expect them to last longer than a year in the Premier League either but to see them there at all is astonishing! I remember when I was at primary school and the manager/coaches of the time regularly used to come in and talk to us. This was the time they were close to liquidation and playing in much lower leagues. Crazy to see them finally breaking through to the big time, will be good to see the Amex used for matches of such a stature. Edited April 17, 20178 yr by gooddelta
April 17, 20178 yr Basically everyone said the same about Bournemouth, that they'd go straight back down but they look like managing a third straight stint in the top tier. Would be great if Huddersfield join them.
April 17, 20178 yr People also said the same when Brighton were first promoted to the top flight back in 1979. They stayed for four seasons that time.
April 17, 20178 yr Needless to say there's something of a party atmosphere in town tonight. It wasn't all that long ago that he Albion were a point away from exiting the football league!

April 17, 20178 yr Zola has eventually gone about time. The owners have ruined Birmingham City's season. Me, Crystal Palace and Birmingham City are my passion.
April 17, 20178 yr I just wish I was there! I suspect the revelry will go on for a while. You could probably get here in time to join in!
April 17, 20178 yr Author Watching Football On 5 with Lyndsey Hipgrove as presenter. She's quite nice actually :) I think Brighton with the right brakes could stay in the Premier League next season. It'll be tough though.
