June 24, 20169 yr Except me, I suspect. :P So it's OK for Scotland to blame it's ills on England, but not OK for england to blame its ills on the EU? And how do you think the English would have reacted if their vote to leave had been blocked this way? I this case Scotland voted 62% in favour of remaining in the EU so yes we will blame our ills on England in thus case. I'm really concerned about the future of the UK as a whole. Absolutely gutted that the Leave campaign won.
June 24, 20169 yr everytime they play that part of the farage speech i want to punch him Well let him have his moment as he'll lose his MEP job soon.... Edited June 24, 20169 yr by Common Sense
June 24, 20169 yr So ashamed of Wales tho  I read that 75% of 18-29 year olds voted remain. I'm fed up of all the shit happening to our generation. We're the ones who are going to have to live with the long term consequences of this. We really are the least thought of generation ever.
June 24, 20169 yr Absolutely shocked right now, really didn't think we'd do it. Just...wow, glad I didn't stay up to see this.
June 24, 20169 yr The pound has lost 10cents against the dollar. This is without an actual leave confirmation and is already on the scale of the worst ever day for the pound. Ive bookmarked the i told you so dance vid thanks harve.. You're right about me dancing. ;) I think Birmingham will be similar to Liverpool - which is significant because there is a huge number of votes available here - I think they said up to 700,000 voters registered! Would that be 50 per house? :teresa: What the flying fuck is happening to the £. Like dropping by a few cents in a night okay, but this is quite silly. I guess it's because it's such blatantly bad news in both the long and short-term Markets always vounce back in the medium to long term. So, this is just further proof that stoking up the basest fears and most disgusting tendencies in others IS the way to victory. Tell that to Project Fear... :P The next election campaign is going to be appalling. Tonight's result shows that you can base your whole campaign on a pack of lies and still win. So no change from any other general election campaign then... The saddest thing for me is that Jo Cox lost her life for nothing. Very sad. have you considered that Leave might have had an even bigger winning margin if she hadn't been killed? Please tell me why the walking dead should be allowed to vote in decisions like this: The ones that have to live with this decision are voting in, the ones that won't have pulled us out. Here's a question. A couple dozen Tory MPs may yet be charged with falsifying their election expense returns. If they are convicted, their results will be overturned. That could potentially wipe out the government's majority. Is there any chance that legislation passed over the last year (including the referendum) could be declared invalid? It's pretty much impossible to watch any more of this. It's going to be a depressing few days watching all this play out/the hideous gloating from leave.
June 24, 20169 yr DEAR ME what awful news to wake up to. :manson: Nigel Farage is an insufferable c**t too.
June 24, 20169 yr You idiots! I cannot believe you people have actually just gone round and done this! This is the most demoralising news in history since 9/11. I'm ashamed to be British right now. Whereas I am proud to be British! Really? You think we've just made ourselves more attractive? If you were in their shoes (and assuming you could choose a country to head for), would you rush to get into a country that has just declared hatred for you? This sort of comment is partly why people voted for Leave - for decades we've been subject to brainwashing that suggests that even discussing immigration makes you a Nazi. The distinction between anti-EU (the institution) and anti-Europe (the continent) is one the Remain camp have consistantly missed. Common Sense currently asking to be permabanned right now Is that sour grapes I smell?
June 24, 20169 yr Please tell me why the walking dead should be allowed to vote in decisions like this: The ones that have to live with this decision are voting in, the ones that won't have pulled us out. I can offer a reason why - they have *lived* with it for 40 years, watching what they were *told* would just be a free trade area, gradually turn into bureaucratic monster that seeks to flatten Europe into one uniform pancake.
June 24, 20169 yr I can offer a reason why - they have *lived* with it for 40 years, watching what they were *told* would just be a free trade area, gradually turn into bureaucratic monster that seeks to flatten Europe into one uniform pancake. Go to Yorkshire and you will find many people who describe themselves as Yorkshiremen first. The fact that Yorkshire has been part of the UK for centuries hasn't changed that. I happen to consider myself to be European just as much as British, but other people can consider themselves English firs, British first or whatever. Our membership of the EU has done noting to change that. This bureaucratic monster myth has been tackled many times, but you don't seem willing to take any notice. The EU employs as many people as the average UK council. That is hardly a bureaucratic monster. More like a bureaucratic mouse.
