What an absolute delight to watch Nafi and Katarina in that High Jump there, they enjoyed watching each other so much sometimes it seemed like they forgot they had to go and jump in the competition themselves straight afterwards!

I would love these two to become the new Heptathlon superpowers, both are so likeable and the fact one is British is of course an added bonus - I've been a massive fan of Katarina ever since her amazing facial expressions back in London 2012.

These two are now the top 2 overall, how fabulous! And Jess is 3rd which is great too :D

help guys athletic heats are consuming me already

So watchable for absolutely everything.

Me too.

It's catching.

A terrific performance from Ayana in the 10,000m. One of the best long distance runs I have ever seen. Performance of this Olympics.

I heard we won two golds today

Also I like the sports at the moment it adds variety to the games

I can't help but notice how empty many of the venues look, there were more tv crews watching the athletics earlier than spectators.

Most of the venues have been empty. Barely anyone at the venues. Not good at all. There was more of a noise at Murray's match than the cycling.

I don't think Wiggins should be compared to the likes of legends like Spritz, Bolt, Phelps, Redgrave, Hoy and Carl Lewis.

He should be held in higher regard - medalling at five consecutive games! Not many that can say they've done that.

Y'all are moving to the track and field stuff when I still can't get over tha U.S. women's gymnastics clean sweep
Katie Ledecky to be the new (female) Michael Phelps? Insane performance from her in the 800m freestyle tonight and she's only 19 years old! (Hooray for Jaz Carlin grabbing another silver behind her :D)

OK. Wiggins is possibly up with there with Olympic legends considering he has won a medal at 5 games. Sorry Doctor Blind, I don't like Wiggins for some reason.

Dunno if any of you have tried this, but it's fun, it lets you know your closest counterpart Olympic athlete based on your height, weight and age.

The one most like me was Turkish athlete, Ali Kaya (competing tonight in the 10,000m actually!) who's exactly my weight and height and just a year younger, I also got two other athletes. Complimentary B-) (lolz)

There's at least some repeat of Super Saturday :D

We're really doing much better than I ever expected us to be doing on the medal table, China even looks in catching distance.

Unlucky for Jessica Ennis and Greg Rutherford but at least they can be proud that they have medals to show for their efforts at these Olympics.
I wasn't really under the illusion that the sequel would be anything as good as the original Super Saturday so I feel that was a good night, Mo of course was fantastic (despite that fall!) and I think Thiam was too far ahead for Jess to cause an upset (srsly well done to her, fantastic new talent there) and she still did really well. A bit of a shame about Greg, but after the qualifying I wasn't expecting a Gold and...at least he kept his arms in the right place :kink:

Thiam was definitely one of the breakthrough athletes in the athletics. She has a very bright future ahead of her. She was brilliant. Could this is the last time we see Jessica Ennis-Hill? Possibly.

Looking forward to the men's 100m final tomorrow morning early. Why would I want to miss that? Go on Usain Bolt.

I'm looking forward to the 100 m final as well but a part of me would like to see someone else apart from Usain Bolt winning it this time.
