July 29, 20169 yr You're right, Sia's two versions added together would make her just outside the top 20 on Spotify. Surprised more artists haven't taken that approach; release two versions of the same track to boost streams. Maybe they just haven't yet. I remember a bloke called Alex Day used to release about 50 versions of his songs to get maximum sales. I think he has a Buzzjack account as well, he had a few top 40's back in 2012 if I recall

Surprised more artists haven't taken that approach; release two versions of the same track to boost streams. Maybe they just haven't yet. Many artists have done this before, it's just rare that more than one version will actually do well. Calum Scott's got two versions riding high on iTunes but only one seems to be doing anything on Spotify (unless they are combined).

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. During the group's hiatus, Timberlake released his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which included the successful singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body", and earned his first two Grammy Awards. His critically acclaimed second album, FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), characterized by its wide range of musical influences, debuted atop the US Billboard 200 and produced the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "SexyBack", "My Love", and "What Goes Around... Comes Around". With his first two albums exceeding sales of 10 million copies worldwide, he was established as one of the most commercially successful singers of the decade. He also has collaborated with other artists, including "Give It to Me" (with Timbaland) and "4 Minutes" (with Madonna). From 2008 through 2012, Timberlake focused on his acting career, effectively putting his music career on hiatus; he held starring roles in the films The Social Network, Bad Teacher, In Time, and Friends with Benefits. Timberlake resumed his music career in 2013 with his third and fourth albums The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2, exploring neo soul styles with the song structures of 1960s and 1970s rock. The former became the best-selling album of the year in the US with the largest sales week, and spawned the top-three singles "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors", while the latter produced the top-ten song "Not a Bad Thing". In 2016, Timberlake will voice the lead character in DreamWorks Animation's Trolls, which soundtrack includes his fifth Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single, "Can't Stop the Feeling!". Cemented as a touring solo artist, Timberlake plays several instruments in his live performances, accompanied by his band, The Tennessee Kids. Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2007 and 2013. Timberlake's work has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, ten Billboard Music Awards, and four Emmy Awards, the latter being for his appearances on Saturday Night Live. His other ventures include record label Tennman Records, fashion label William Rast, and the restaurants Destino and Southern Hospitality. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History (year/peak/title): 2002 02 Like I Love You (Justin Timberlake feat. July 29, 20169 yr That Clean Bandit song can get rid. Sellouts to work with X Factor's golden girl who was pushed for the win from day 1. Leaves a bad taste, even if she is a good singer.
July 29, 20169 yr 'Can't Stop That Feeling' has really grown on me, it's amazing sometimes what hearing a song when you're not sober can do for it.
July 29, 20169 yr Can't wait to see Trolls and the closing credits sequence after (which will definitely use Can't Stop The Feeling, obviously)!!!! Edited July 29, 20169 yr by buzz_person
July 29, 20169 yr Hope we get a Zara Larsson-less top 40 next week and shame the NOW 94 effect wasn't strong enough to send Tinie Tempah into the top 40
July 29, 20169 yr I bet CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! will have another stint in the top 20 when Trolls gets released, that is if it has left the top 20 by the time it's out, it wouldn't surprise me if it's still getting a chart play then.

Biography Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor from Toronto, Ontario. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape Room for Improvement. He would go onto release two further independent projects, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009. Drake would release his debut studio album, Thank Me Later, in 2010 to critical and commercial success. Thank Me Later would debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases, 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, were worldwide successes, with each being certified platinum in U.S. sales, and the former earning him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. They were followed by two mixtapes, with the trap influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late, and a collaboration with Future for What a Time to Be Alive, in 2015. Each mixtape saw widespread commercial success, with the former being certified double platinum in the U.S., as well as to rave critical reception. Drake would release his fourth album, Views, in 2016, breaking numerous chart records in the process. Views sat atop the Billboard 200 for ten nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a solo male to remain at number one the longest in over 10 years. It also saw Drake leading the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously for eight weeks, breaking the previous record of seven held by both Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. It also achieved double platinum status in the U.S., and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release. Alongside his Grammy Award win, Drake has won three Juno Awards and six BET Awards. He also occupies the highest number of singles to reach number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. He also has the most number ones on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts, becoming one of the only artists to occupy the top positions on all aforementioned charts. Drake had developed into other ventures, including his OVO Sound record label with Noah "40" Shebib, in early 2012. Drake also acts as a producer, producing under the pseudonym of Champagne Papi. Using the the "OVO" moniker, Drake has also marketed a clothing line, as well as having his own channel on Beats 1. He is also currently acting as the global ambassador for NBA franchise, the Toronto Raptors. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History (year/peak/title): Drake 2009 42 Forever (Drake feat. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, Jones first became involved in music via his church, then his interests turned to jazz, a genre where he discovered the work of Quincy Jones. He later became interested in hip-hop, where he particularly admired the work of Dr. Dre and Timbaland, two bass-oriented producers who influenced Jones' own booming productions. After working with Ace Hood, DJ Traphouse, and other local artists, he was called up to the majors by DJ Khaled. Now signed to We the Best Entertainment as a triple threat -- producer, singer, and rapper -- Jones released his single "Don't Mind" and appeared alongside Ace Hood and Vado on Khaled's cut "365." The latter landed on the NBA 2K16 video game soundtrack. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History (year/peak/title): 2016 09 Don't Mind -1- Discussion Thread Here
