Into You has really grown on me - took a while to get into it. Think the video puts me off.

Cheap Thrills still to come? Surprised its still kicking about now its so low on Spotify

It has two versions on Spotify, so it's actually a lot higher than it appears to be.

Into You

Pleased for the stability but hoping for a Top 10. She could make it as she has streaming power, but it's a longshot I think.

Honestly can't decide to shortlist Into You for my hatechart this year OR enter it into my Personal Chart top 10, I've never known myself to have less of a clue of whether I like a song or not.
'Into You' has had its time now, it should start falling from next week I think.

What makes you say that exactly? Radio 1 just bumped it up to the A-List.

Biography

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler (born 18 December 1975), referred to mononymously as Sia (/ˈsiːə/), is an Australian singer and songwriter. She started her career as a singer in the local Adelaide acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-1990s. In 1997, when Crisp disbanded, she released her debut studio album titled OnlySee on Flavoured Records in Australia. Following the event, she moved to London, England and provided lead vocals for British duo Zero 7.

In 2000, Sia signed to Sony Music's sub-label Dance Pool and released her second studio album, Healing Is Difficult, the following year. Displeased with the promotion of the record, she signed to Go! Beat and released her third studio album, Colour the Small One, in 2004. Dissatisfied with the project's struggling to connect with a mainstream audience, Sia relocated to New York City in 2005 and began touring across the United States. Sia released her fourth and fifth studio releases, Some People Have Real Problems and We Are Born, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2014, Sia released her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which debuted atop the U.S. Billboard 200 and generated the top-ten single "Chandelier". In 2016, she released her seventh studio album This Is Acting, which spawned the top-five single "Cheap Thrills". Her catalogue also includes successful collaborations "Titanium" (with David Guetta) and "Wild Ones" (with Flo Rida).

Sia's music incorporates hip hop, funk and soul as a base for her vocal styling. In 2014, she was ranked the 97th richest Australian person under the age of 40 by BRW magazine, with a reported net worth of AU$20 million. Her music has received an array of accolades, including ARIA Awards and MTV Music Awards. - Wikipedia

Honestly can't decide to shortlist Into You for my hatechart this year OR enter it into my Personal Chart top 10, I've never known myself to have less of a clue of whether I like a song or not.

Listening to the bassline more than the verses made it grow on me a lot.

Cheap Thrills is still sounding so good :music: Got to be a contender for my song of the year, never seems to get old for me.

The fact that it was by Ariana Grande put me off it instantly, but it's not dreadful by any stretch

What makes you say that exactly? Radio 1 just bumped it up to the A-List.

it's been stabilising on Spotify for a few weeks now so it feels like it's peaked, though I imagine with R1 A-listing it should get a good few weeks in the top 20 still. Guess it could still re-peak if songs above it fall.

Yes, but in the middle of the Charts?

But they have only broadcast trailers for the Olympics 1,452,007 times so far. They still have to fit in another 360,828 before the Games start or some people will be in serious trouble. After all, if they didn't broadcast trailers, they might have to transmit actual programmes instead.

You're right, Sia's two versions added together would make her just outside the top 20 on Spotify. Surprised more artists haven't taken that approach; release two versions of the same track to boost streams. Maybe they just haven't yet.

Discussion Thread Here

I entered Cheap Thrills into my personal chart in January. It's now July.

Also, 'turn Greg James on' :puke2:

It entered for me in February and it's still in my chart. In fact, I don't think it's left the top 50 since February come to mention it.

That's the best part of the song for me, I specifically recorded it from the chart to download that version :heehee:
