Climbed since last update - current no.1 on TOTP 1982 BBC4 repeats

932. Tight Fit - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Very feasible these days with the ever decreasing sales that songs off the back of a repeat on a niche TV channel can do wonders on the itunes 1500!

Not a clue how that offaiah song sounds - is it any good? Hit potential?
733. Martika - Love... Thy Will Be Done (Single Version) (Random Oldie)

Not random.. Chris Evans played it this morning! He played it immediately after "Tilted" saying "I've always loved songs that sound like that". He banged on about how amazing she was for some time.

It's certainly aged very well

It is a wonderful reworking & until today I would have said not a cat in hell's chance but there you go!

wow amazing to see Offaiah go top 40!!! would be great if it could become a proper hit and I get the feeling Radio 1 really love this song so it should get playlisted soon.

Yes it is it sounds more like mid 2000s house ( particularly Love Dont Let Me Go with the drop and the funky style) than modern house which might stop it being a hit but that didnt stop the 99 Souls track of course, which sounded a bit like 'The Weekend' or 'Out Of Touch' and not like most modern dance. And of course we had two disco house hits, Clean Bandit and Louisa and Sigala/John Newman so there seems to.be a mini 2000s dance revival this year. Now all we need is trance too.

Bastille are climbing still. Good to see, I hope Good Grief can go top 10 officially in the near future.
In 2014, a Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha collaboration could have potentially been heaven but fast forward to 2016 and they're both shit and supply us with this shower of mediocrity. :(
That's because they're both complete sell outs and irrelevant after flop after flop. I remember when Martin Garrix used to be good.

I can honestly seeing the JoJo track being massive I'd it gets some airplay.
I'm really happy to see Christine And The Queens doing so well, so hard for bands to compete in the itunes singles charts these days
