Ooh 6th is my best ever semi result! :o My previous best was 7th with Last Lynx and BLVCK CEILING! So surprised at how well this has done. Proof once again that the plug stats should never be taken too seriously in places. :lol:

The record for points in a semi being broken again for the second time in four contests after it had previously stood since BJSC19 ;o (I think this might be my best result in a semi so far this year as well somehow yas)

 

(btw the semi 1 scoreboard seems to be missing Yehesi's 6 pointer? edit: after some PM harrassment to confirm, it was meant to be for Aelandor x)

I literally thought this was going to get vetoed and even then I thought it was only going to get mid-table before I saw the hype. tbh that final voting reveal was just me trying to get discussion going on in here which i think worked quite well!!! i stopped scoreboards so early because after 45 cor lupus were RACING ahead, and thought i'd try make it more dramatic (fka actually managed to close the lead rlly well)

Well, Cody, I am really happy for you, congratulations, I know how much you wanted to win, and I'll look forward to you hosting and getting your first-time hosting out there (will sort the widget in a few).

 

But on the song side, god no. I'm not opposed to the song, but overall, it's so ORDINARY, Cor Lupus have so much better in their roster that you should have won with. And it's the first song by The Naked & Famous I couldn't really care less about, I feel nothing from it. Would have preferred any of the rest of the top 5 to win because those are all really enjoyable songs.

 

I had a great time reading through the last few pages Lotti, very tense and probably the right decision given how far ahead Higher was.

i'm glad u guys enjoyed that lil spin on reveal!! i'm also a big fan of a results countdown as i think it promotes more discussion of each countries places, gives everyone a bit of time in the spotlight (whether that's good or bad for them!!! :kink:)

Lotti I wanna say congrats on such a successful first hosting effort and thanks so much for the entertainment you provided throughout. Now maybe you can flip off the diva switch (unless Tim did something that glued it at the on position permanently).

I loved this style of reveal too. I'd personally say that I don't think there should be ANY enforced change to the way the results are presented, as hosts might not want to present their own contest in a certain way, but maybe if somebody intends to use some style away from the norm (like this, or the all in one block at the end thing) they could just run it past the mods or something, rather than any one rule change coming in regarding this.
