As you guys may have seen, the One Direction forum is one of a number of AFs taking part in the Artist Forum Song Contest, and we are one of the very first to be hosting our national final to select our entry!

The them for this is "should've been a single", so basically any 1D (including ZAYN) song that should have been picked as a single but wasn't.

There are two rounds to our national final - a nominations round and a poll round.

In this round, you are asked to post in this thread with up to 15 nominations of One Direction or ZAYN album tracks that were not released as a single, but should have been. More Than This cannot be nominated because it was released as a single in Australia x

You only have until FRIDAY 26TH AUGUST to nominate so get going! The poll (including the songs with the most nominations) will go up on Friday and last a couple of days.

All of those could've made great singles even if I'm mostly happy with what they did release!

No Control or Where Do Broken Hearts Go for me!
I think I've only heard Moments but that was quite nice so that can have a nomination. Also I quite liked the song they did dance moves to in Carpool but I can't remember what it was called.

No Control, Ry!

OK I've edited the first post to allow up to 15, so if you only know/wanna nominate less than 5, you now can! The more noms, the better :D

More Than This

Don't Forget Where You Belong

There was another I loved back in 2013 - can't remember which though, will edit in if I find it.

Yes 'More Than This' was a single, disastrously flopping in at #86 here in the UK :drama:

Moments

Infinity (does this count as a single though since it was never pushed :drama:)

Infinity counts as an album track! :D It got cancelled for History once the latter was doing way better after the X Factor performance

Thanks for the noms so far guys

I feel like they don't have a REALLY obvious missed single opportunity, so I'm having difficulty narrowing it down. I'd be happy with any of these 5.

I guess Stole My Heart or Where Do Broken Hearts Go would be the most attention-grabbing?

Stockholm & Feeling are my faves listed above, but maybe they're too subtle.

15 are way too less had to make hard choices.
It's alllll about 'Happily'!
erm Jay, WHERE is Little Black Dress in your list?!?!

 I love it but I don't really regard it as a missed single opportunity! ;o

Oh I think it could've been a bit of a surprise smash for them, but I guess they weren't quite 'brave' enough with their single choices then and we got the more 'friendly' Midnight Memories instead, which worked out well :')

'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' and 'C'mon, C'mon' get my support
