December 1, 20168 yr Well having seen what you've done to your own stadium can you blame us?:P Plus last round of EFL Cup involved City fans trashing the joint so it's probably over cautious about a repeat of that. I've got my SF ticket sorted out along with one for my mum for her Christmas. Not as close to bench this time but it's third row which is awesome.
December 1, 20168 yr Still closer to the action than Mourinho! Haha yeah! Although he had a hotline right to the bench. They had a phone line installed so Jose could ring Rui! Got a couple of pics of them all huddled round the phone getting instructions!
December 1, 20168 yr An Man Utd v Liverpool final then? As a Liverpool fan I would love to see Southampton win a trophy because of how well the club has been run over the past few years!
December 3, 20168 yr As a Liverpool fan I would love to see Southampton win a trophy because of how well the club has been run over the past few years! I want Liverpool and only Liverpool to win the trophy! For me, I cannot see Manchester United NOT getting to the final. I guess for Liverpool/Southampton is just depends really. I expect it to be quite a close encounter as I don't think we will play anywhere near full strength. Man Utd vs Liverpool final would be great for the competition, but I can't think of a team I would least like to play in the final!

December 4, 20168 yr Yeh Mourinho always takes the league cup seriously in his first season at a club to install a winning mentality, I'd prob rather go out now than get beat by United in a final tho!
January 25, 20178 yr How do people see tonight's match between Liverpool and Southampton going? I reckon it will be a 2-0 win to Liverpool and going through 2-1 on aggregate.
January 25, 20178 yr I'd rather face Southampton in the final tbh. Trains back north will be much less punchy and violent that way.
January 25, 20178 yr Well assuming we get there! Not taking anything for granted but I can't see us screwing this one up, especially now Snodders is out of the equation. Saints yet to concede in the whole comp, very impressive. Would be a tough match.
January 25, 20178 yr I don't think we're going to disrespect Hull and will put on a good show. The thing that makes me confident is that Livermore and Snodgrass are both gone and that was the only positive thing going for Hull. Soton are easier to beat than Liverpool tho. Tbh I'm just happy because it means that if I manage to land a ticket then I can get a train that won't be overrun by riots before Milton Keynes.
January 25, 20178 yr I expected Liverpool to turn it around but I'm glad that they didn't. The League Cup should be going to Man United this season although Southampton will be a tough opponent.
January 25, 20178 yr I would love a Southampton win - they have been a very well run club for the past decade and a trophy would round that off nicely.
January 26, 20178 yr Rooney's been a bit quiet after a few defeats. Bristol City have lost 8 league games in a row and I'm still posting (in fact I'm posting more!). ;) Anyway, congratulations Southampton. Deserved it over both legs.

Southampton deserved to win over the two legs. We had all the possession, but we couldn't do anything with it. We had a couple of really good chances, but so did Southampton. Congrats to them, I hope they go on and win it now. A real shame to get beat, but meh that's football. We're not in good form at the moment, loads of players are out of sorts and playing with niggles/injuries. I think this is really highlighting how short our squad depth is. The good thing is after this week, we will be back to one game a week again, so hopefully we can play ourselves in to some form.
