It was tough between Girl Overboard and On the Metro but I went for the latter, purely because what got released instead (ie. Beautiful Cause You Love Me) was less good by quite a margin. I can't moan at any of the Tangled Up singles, I'd have just rather had Girl Overboard as a fourth single on top of them!

 

I mean, you can't say that starting with Sound of the UNDERGROUND and finishing with On the METRO wouldn't have been totally iconic.

I managed to narrow it down to 3, 'Girl Overboard', 'Graffiti My Soul' and 'On The Metro'. They all really should've been singles.

Girl Overboard and On The Metro get my votes!

I agree with this. Girls Aloud have had a fantastic string of singles so it's hard to say one song should have been released instead of another, in regards to their studio albums that is. I love 'Beautiful Cause You Love Me' but it clearly didn't resonate with fans and it was well-established at the time that 'On the Metro' was the favourite. I've never even picked up on the similarities of those two titles but you are quite right that would have been a great way to package their singles discography together.

 

However, personal taste tells me 'Every Now and Then' > 'On the Metro'.

 

'Girl Overboard' very much sounds like a single but the three that were chosen were perfect so I can't say it was a missed opportunity as such. They could have released it as a fourth single but the download market was picking up by this point and they'd have risked ending their Top 10 streak earlier.

 

Surprised 'Miss You Bow Wow' was such a popular choice. I mean, I absolutely love it, but it's not what I'd expect people to get behind. I suppose it is a throwback to their earlier pop material following the more mature three singles from Out of Control.

Voted girl over board because it's actually one of my favourite girls aloud tracks. I did also like can't speak French very much but there was something about girl overboard & where I was in my life back then that connected with me. I also thought on the metro was great which looks set to win - would have made a great video.

Went for 'On The Metro' and 'Girl Overboard'! It is baffling why they left us with 'Beautiful Cause You Love Me' when they could have gone out with a BANG with 'On The Metro'. Then 'Girl Overboard' has always struck me as a huge highlight from Tangled Up that would have made a good single #4.

Girl Overboard is one of their best songs and the world should have known about it.
