August 31, 20168 yr Author Rules this time...they have to be actually well known songs and not random disco house ones off Beatport...as much as I like those.
August 31, 20168 yr hey thesnake! my faves: 2. Are We Ready (Wreck) – Two Door Cinema Club 3. August 31, 20168 yr Author Yes, thank you...I notice you didn't include the Rudimental tune in your faves. Being funky house, it sounds more like an early 00s or mid 00s dance hit than one this decade and that's why I really like it. Yes the Dua Lipa song I much prefer to her first one, Offaiah as I have said before sounds very early 2006 which I really like and John Gibbons is a funky dance version so had to include that given that I fondly remember the similar 2005 ones. I much prefer Don't You Know to This Girl...nice retro sound almost like a record from the 70s with a dance beat on it.
August 31, 20168 yr Author I haven't listened to the new Rudimental song yet. Ah...I see. I only just heard it today, but already it has made my personal chart
August 31, 20168 yr Hey, good to see another personal chart... here are my faves: 1. Can’t Hold Back – Kiko Bun A strong contender for my #1 next week too, really good to see someone else showing some love for this! 2. Are We Ready (Wreck) – Two Door Cinema Club Another great single from them, they never seem to disappoint 3. Blow Your Mind (Mwah) – Dua Lipa Not as good as Hotter Than Hell 7. Who Knows - Proteje 8. Dancing On My Own (Tiesto Remix) – Calum Scott 9. Where are You Now? – Lady Leshurr and Wiley 10. Tears – Clean Bandit ft Louisa Johnson 12. Charlemagne – Blossoms My current #1, what a song  13. Who Do You Think Of?– MO Looking forward to hearing what they've got next 15. Is This Love? – Bob Marley and The Wailers ft LVNDSCAPE and BOLIER I'm not a big fan of rehashes of old songs tbh but I'm really enjoying this one 17. False Alarm – Matoma and Becky Hill 18. Alarm – Anne-Marie 20. Heathens – Twenty One Pilots Great stuff!
August 31, 20168 yr Hi TheSnake Great choice of #1 :music: Love Crank It (Woah!) a former #1 of mine Don't You Know, Is This Love, Charlemagne, False Alarm & Trouble are all great too  (as are most other songs in your chart) Is the version of Who Knows you charted the original or the Shy FX remix? I prefer the original but the remix isn't bad :) Great chart :D
August 31, 20168 yr Hello Snakey! Thought I'd do a massive comment on this :D 1. Can’t Hold Back – Kiko Bun > Liked his last single, Sticky Situation and as far as I've heard on Radio 1, this is pretty good too. 2. Are We Ready (Wreck) – Two Door Cinema Club > One of my favourite songs of the summer, the anthemic 'na na na''s in the chorus sung by kids really do it for me, what about you? 3. Blow Your Mind (Mwah) – Dua Lipa > I LOVE this! Love the kind of speaking bit in the chorus, this is one of the pop songs of the year for me, in a year of little good pop tracks. 4. Healing – Rudimental ft J. Angel > NEED to hear this, I'll report back when I do ^_^ 5. Offaiah – Trouble > Really decent track, between me and you this is VERY close to reaching my top 10 on my chart. 6. John Gibbons – Would I Lie To You > Again, really good track, perfect in the sun, I like the isolated vocals after the chorus. 9. Where are You Now? – Lady Leshurr and Wiley 10. Tears – Clean Bandit ft Louisa Johnson 11. Crank It (Woah) – George Kwali, Kideko, Nadia Rose and Sweetie Irie > I love this! So unique and refreshing. 12. Charlemagne – Blossoms 13. Who Do You Think Of?– MO 14. Don’t Be So Shy – Imany (Filatov and Karas remix) 15. Is This Love? – Bob Marley and The Wailers ft LVNDSCAPE and BOLIER > Please smash (and climb in your chart! :P) I love this, such a perfect summer tune and it's absolutely smashing it in the iTunes chart right now. 16. Friends With Benefits – KSI and MNDM > Hehe, this is very good for a YouTuber's song. 17. False Alarm – Matoma and Becky Hill > I bloody love this  Her vocals never disappoint  18. Alarm – Anne-Marie 19. Don’t You Know – Kungs ft Jamie N’ Commons 20. Heathens – Twenty One Pilots > YESSS at some top love, you obviously know how much I like them but I was shocked to see this here ^_^ Fantastic chart! Edited August 31, 20168 yr by mdh
August 31, 20168 yr Author Thanks everyone....a few notes to answer.... The Proteje one is the original. I don't really like the Shy FX remix. Didn't really notice the na na nas in Two Door, just like the song as it is nice and uplifting. The KSI one I am a bit ashamed of liking (as it is a Youtuber song) but the beat is good and the lyrics are humorous so I included it. Of course, Offaiah, John Gibbons, Clean Bandit, Rudimental, Imany and Kwali and co. bring the funky house to my chart that is needed. It seems funky house is undergoing a revival at the minute anyway so that's great  . Haven't listened to the Rudimental song in full but it has to enter high in my chart it is so funky and so early/mid 00s. Reminds me a bit of the likes of Tom Novy - Your Body back in 2005. Is this Love? might climb a bit but I don't really like the pan pipe 'drop' much in the song but the rest of it is very funky indeed and of course Bob Marley's voice is great too. Heathens is actually very good, much better than Stressed Out I think which I didn't really like. And finally Kiko Bun took number 1 as it sounded like something from the 1980s when I heard it today for the first time on Radio 1 (which is great I like retro sounding music) and it is very catchy indeed. August 31, 20168 yr Hey there TheSnake :hi: 'Blow Your Mind (Mwah)' and 'Trouble' are the highlights of your top 5 for me! Clean Bandit have been such an exciting act over the past few years, I'm always hyped for new stuff by them. Other faves: M.O, Imany and twenty one pilots! Great chart

Who Knows - Proteje 8. Dancing On My Own (Tiesto Remix) – Calum Scott I personally prefer the non remixed version but this is good 9. Where are You Now? – Lady Leshurr and Wiley 10. Tears – Clean Bandit ft Louisa Johnson  11. Crank It (Woah) – George Kwali, Kideko, Nadia Rose and Sweetie Irie 12. Charlemagne – Blossoms  13. Who Do You Think Of?– MO  14. Great chart  Thanks, Jade, yes I hope they continue down the disco house route rather than going back to stuff like Rather Be, which I don't like. They are the modern equivalent of The Shapeshifters, who I liked in the mid 00s. Blow Your Mind (Mwah) is a great tune. Holly Valance Kiss Kiss nostalgia with the Mwah sounds. Trouble is great, too, that David Guetta and The Egg - Love Dont Let me Go style drop :o

In the Offaiah track Puth's voice is well used in the track. I actually thought the oh oh bits were female disco vocals but it is actually Puth according to danG which suprises me... Yes the Tiesto remix of Calum Scott has more energy to it, like the Tiesto remix of 'All Of me', so i prefer it. Kiko Bun, I really like his voice in the song, and it is so retro sounding and very catchy. Why do you use a Norwegian o for 'some top love'? :o Edited September 1, 20168 yr by TheSnake
