I don't think it's a bad song (I get Bat for Lashes vibes from it!), I just confirmed it kinda on a whim after discovering it literally two hours before filling in the form and not wanting to get stuck into an annoying rut of what to send yet again :lol: I really loved it at the time but the shine dimmed just a tad for me and I'm still a little turned off by the music video haha. Wish I had been at the session now, kinda shocked at 9 woots and no mehs, thank you guys! Good to see several of my faves getting a high no. of woots as well ^_^

Voted! Even though it wasn't the best semi ever overall, there are 15 tracks I love and could have voted for, and I'm happy with a very very solid top ten.

 

Also just realised I've been in Semi 2 for eight of the last nine contests :lol:

Syndare have also voted - just about got to ten worthy songs in the end, not the best semi in recent memory :(

I feel as though there's one song SO much more worthy of winning than every other track. Not only is it incredible, but the kind of shallow, negative, running-away-from-the-police-on-a-Friday-night fits the theme of the contest so well.

semi 1 runthrough twice leaves the usual 20-odd candidates to whittle down. It's a very UP semi with plenty of unusual entries amongst the obviously-qualifying pop and dance goodies, so I'm giving a bit of hype so they dont get overlooked, cos I havent enough space to vote for them all!

 

In no partic order, AQ Ariel Pink, La Femme, MissingNo, Stupeflip, Agnes Obel, Sons Of Sonix, OfDream and others are what I would call Off The Wall. That's a good thing! :cheer:

Buzzjack Mountain's entry has a shallow negative theme of 'wasting your life'. However it is not 'incredible' by my own admission, just a regular dance tune so it is unlikely to be what you are referring to :lol:
