Yeah I think any sense of irony would have been lost if she got an established rapper to do the rap instead. It's the sort of thing only Madonna could pull off.

It’s one of her worst music moments for me.

 

American Life is a strong album what hugely grew on me after listening more closely.

 

But the title track and the rap is one of the worst ever things she’s done.

 

I low key love when I’m pissed though and I do the rap word for word but when I’m sober I can’t listen to it.
