Weekly iTunes 59p Bargains

(in alphabetical order, current songs highlighted in green)

Very good idea but I would rather post it immediately in the iTunes weekly thread and not separately ;)

I wondered where that topic had gone, it looked like it had been deleted!

So just to be clear you don't want me posting this in future as you'd rather do so yourself within this weekly thread?

You might want to speak to gooddelta too as I believe he was going to make use of the data.

Shame really, I was hoping to find a Chart project I could contribute to each week.

2. Calvin Harris - My Way

7. Emeli Sande - Hurts

Estimating Emeli's current combined total based on the existing totals for #19 & #20.

Jesus NOOOOO, why would I want to steal your idea after I said it's a very good idea.

My only suggestion was that please post it in the weekly iTunes thread and not separately. ("I would rather post it in the iTunes weekly thread" when I was you)

You've totally misunderstood it

In love with Hurts!! So much better than Calvins single, welcome back queen

Oops. Wrong thread.

66. KSI - Jump Around (feat. Waka Flocka Flame)

Well, he was interviewed on This Morning and a short clip of the music video was shown.

Who knew a 30 second video clip on This Morning would generate this impact! Seriously when radio and TV get behind this properly it could be HUGE

Kworb just updated...

1. James Arthur = 1.0000 | 1.0000

2. Chainsmokers = 0.7615 | 0.8081

3. Calvin Harris = 0.4878 | 0.4635

If James continues to sell at this rate, he's looking at #4 in the chart WITHOUT STREAMING. Absolutely insane.
I saw the This Morning interview earlier and fair play he doesn't seem like the douche he once was. I'm all for surprise chart hits (if they're not bad) and a James Arthur #1 would be far more shocking/hilarious than a Calvin one. Also Hassaan, Ben Haenow got to #1 didn't he? :P

Expected Emeli to be @1 by now

No progress in ages

Calvin also seems to have reached its plateaux hes at @3 but very far from @2

I highly doubted Emeli would get to #1 initially (though I did think #2!), it's a shame iTunes didn't auto combine the two versions because the top 10 exposure would have presumably done her a certain degree of good.

I don't mind, it probably fits better in the iTunes thread than the weekly purchases thread I suppose.

To be fair to Emeli she seems like the kind of artist a lot of people like but wouldn't hype up their latest release, or even know it was out yet.

She's not an internet hype kind of artist and has probably gone further away from being so by keeping such a low profile over the last few years. I'm sure that when casual music buyers, who don't follow internet blogs for new Friday releases hear that she is back she will pick up more sales steadily over time.

I'm surprised that a programme that's on at 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM can have that much of an impact for a song, the housewives and people on the dole must have showed their love for this song from James Arthur.
All for James Arthur returning to the charts - I supported him through his days on X-Factor and then, like most of the public, let him go once he seemed to want to just throw it all away. This new single is great though - would be nice to see it becoming a long-running hit like "Dancing on My Own".
