Pretty much a given:

Little Mix

James Arthur

Nathan Sykes

Emeli Sande

Louisa Johnson

Fifth Harmony

High Possibilities

Harry Styles

Weeknd

Ariana Grande

Sia

Lady GaGa

Michael Bublé

Niall would also be a high possibility/pretty much a given I'd imagine!

I also think they'll get Chainsmokers in, too!

X Factor really love Bublé though, Simon won't pass up the opportunity to book him.

I was about to say, didn't stop them getting Adele for the final last year! I think DNCE will probably be a shoo in for the live shows as I saw mentioned in one of the papers that they'd been signed up to perform on the lives. Olly too of course with whatever his second single happens to be.

I don't think any 1D boy will be on the show. Harry Styles definitely does not need it and I am pretty sure he want to distance himself from 1D and the sinking ship that is TXF with his huge Hollywood movie coming and all. Liam and Niall are not on good terms with Cowell. I couldn't imagine Zayn in it either but he is still somewhat associated with SYCO (it was part of his deal to leave the band) so maybe....

All 1D boys, except for Louis, are obviously desperate to cut their SYCO/1D ties and appearing on TXF makes absolutely no sense for them marketing-wise. Plus, their first solo single will have huge buzz either way so it's not like they'd need The X Factor exposure.

I can imagine Emeli, Louisa, Little Mix, 5H, James Arthur and Olly. Also, Global acts to ensure Capital FM support to SYCO acts. I doubt acts such as Drake (who literally never performs on TV, much less on cheesy TV shows such as TXF) will be on the show but hot newcomers (i.e.: Shawn Mendes; Zara Larsson) are a given imo.

Probably just Olly. Simon won't want to help her chances of him beating Olly to #1 in the album chart. He did the same thing last year with One Direction/Justin Bieber

I am pretty sure this had more to do with Bieber not wanting to do the show due to scheduling reasons than Simon wanting to ensure a 1D #1. He would never pass up a performance by such an A-list act. Plus, as someone mentioned, he had huge acts with similar release dates several times (notably, Little Mix and Ellie Goulding).

Don't forget guys, apart from the final last year, a lot of the performers were more low-rent/B-tier than in previous years. (e.g. Cee-Lo Green solo promoting a song no-one had ever heard of, Carrie Underwood, Rudimental and Sigma)

With that in mind, I would expect the likes of:

Syco's own artists - Olly Murs, Little Mix (although they've gone from strength to strength this year), Fifth Harmony, whatever 1D members have solo singles out by then, Louisa Johnson, and possibly Fler East and Leona back from the grave

Ex-boyband and girlband members e.g. Nathan Sykes or Mollie King

Nicole Scherzinger herself, while she works there

Cheryl, if she decides to release anything else

Ditto for Rita Ora - anyone with past ties to the show

Gary Barlow

Clean-cut popstars on the rise like Shawn Mendes, Zara Larsson or Meghan Trainor. Ariana Grande if she has a non-sexy song out by then

Anyone making a comeback after a gap who needs any boost they can get. So e.g. Robbie Williams, Dizzee Rascal, Emeli Sande potentially, or older artists who are in town, like Rod Stewart randomly last year

I would be less likely to expect anyone who's soared up a level this year e.g. Sia, or anyone who was already up there e.g. Rihanna, Adele, Bieber, Drake. The show is not the beacon of good promotion it used to be and well-loved enough by everybody to justify some of those top-tier artists coming to it. I also don't really expect any bands this year - it seems to be going back to its mainstream pop roots as a show.

What about Adele? She's likely to release a 4th single from 25 (hoping for WUTB) and her US tour finishes in November. I'm sure Simon would love to have her for the final.
The more new artists the better on XF! They usually produce the biggest boosts!
Can definitely see Zara / Birdy being there since they are used in the Talk Talk ads

I was about to say it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that they could get Britney in?

I know she's not exactly hot property at the moment, but they have got numerous artists to perform before based on their past form/status?

I'm sorry, but who the bloody hell is Tamera Foster

They're really still trying to make Fleur East happen, aren't they? yawn.

Makes a mockery of what the show's about really. 'The public picks the winner' supposedly and then he's dropped after a big #1 single and a top ten album, while Ms East gets a line straight to album #2 after her first album only got to #14 and two of the three singles from it were complete flops. Simon Cowell must fancy her.

Fleur only released two singles from her album and one of them was a complete mess of a release so it's hardly like she's old news yet :P Sax was a much bigger hit than Second Hand Heart if we compare her to the winner of her year (and it's not like Ben was handled badly tbh, Kelly Clarkson on his first single is a big deal!).
Sax was just such an Uptown Funk rip-off though. Point still stands I think; XF isn't about who wins, its about who they want to promote. The whole 'vote for your favourite' thing is a mockery. Intrigued to see what she comes up with in the new era anyway though even if I don't like the methods behind her rise :P
