#45 on iTunes and she had a slot on Graham Nortons radio show today so I guess that's her promo over with

Didn't realise she was still in the cast of 'Rent' though.

I think this will be a bit of all or nothing, it will do well like Blue/Jade Ewen or it will bomb in like 25th  I'm glad Lucie won anyway, I loved her on XF plus she's a proven brilliant vocalist. I agree about the revamp though, not a full on facelift but as Lex said maybe just a bit more oomph.
I think this year's entry is beautiful - a good song, sung by an excellent vocalist. I'm past by the point of expecting any sort of Eurovision success- I just want us to take it seriously and send somebody good, and I think this is our best entry in years.

Viewing figures for last night's show was 1.26 million, last year's outing on BBC Four got 680,000.
Just short of doubling viewers then, considering outside of Radio 2, I saw no promo for the show that's really good.

Literally had a dream aboot this last night

The winning country dropped out of hosting and so the UK had to step in, and the top two songs, UK, a boyband of judo wrestlers, and Finland, gymnasts, had to have a live sing-off, facing each other and singing like a dance-off

Towards the end of the song, the UK judo fighters threw the Finnish band off the stage and into the crowd and then everybody started cheering, with the UK instantly announced as the winners! I was saying no one will ever vote for us again after winning like this!

'It's ok, they're gymnasts, they're not hurt, so we win!'

Have to say this years entry is growing on me - as said above I'm sure it's not going to set the leaderboard alight BUT at least she is a solid singer and this is not a joke/novelty entry.

They could stage this beautifully if they put some thought into it and like others have said it definitely needs a tweak to give it a bit more power ballad vibe.

I have given the studio version a listen and it is pretty decent! It probably helps that I'm a fan of musical theatre and this very much has that sound about it. I remember liking Lucie during her X Factor stint and thinking she was a very strong live vocalist, so hopefully she'll pull this off well on the night.
This has totally hit me, her singing it live is just stunning  I read on Digital Spy that she said she wanted to make a few changes as she'd seen people asking for it, and that they are looking into it, which sounds great! I actually have a bit of confidence in this and that would just be boosted if they tweaked it to stand out a bit more.

I'm wondering whether the BBC should just stick to the staging they had at You Decide, not bother with the gigantic LED screens we'll get in Kyiv and all the other things that will be there to dazzle us. Just go with those white lights in the background and lots of close up camera shots, with the odd one panning over the crowd to create that Glastonbury-esque feeling that the camerawork in the Apollo managed to give on a couple of shots. Although I wouldn't turn down a golden pyro curtain for the final chorus as I just love them!

I think we should take minimalism to the extreme, it could really stand out that way. I agree a couple of subtle changes to the instrumentation could be the missing thing in order to make it a bit more instant, although I'm now completely loving it as it is probably due to the fact I've played it loads.

The other option would be to go completely the other way and have some Attraction-esque storytelling going on in the background but the BBC wouldn't be that clever so we'll go with the minimalism option.

Someone on ESCForum (so take this with a helping of salt of your own choice) seems to have heard the revamped version of this via Emmelie de Forest's publisher and apparently there is a much stronger build throughout the song and there's elements of Massive Attack in the mix. I remain intrigued!
I'm glad there has been a revamp for once! I don't go back to the studio version at all but love the live version. Lucie is the most captivating performer we've had in years, such emotion and understated power, she's a class act and deserves a better produced song.

Music video (with the final version of the song I presume) is being premiered on BBC iPlayer tomorrow evening at 7pm, on YouTube for international fans at 8pm.
Really looking forward to hearing the new version tomorrow - high hopes for it as long as her voice doesn't get drowned out!
There's a clip of the video on Twitter, it's definitely gone moody electro!
Not quite sure yet considering I'm so used to the first one but I do think the added production will make it more instant!
I think it trails off quite a bit towards the end but it's really good at first and not horrendous for a finish. Major improvement on the embarrassing original but I still think it'll struggle a bit. Anyone else?

I like the revamp, makes the song feel more "fuller" than the original.

However, that video looks like someone from year 8 Media Studies created it. f***ing awful.
