We may only be just entering into Q4 but we already have some details about next year's BRIT Awards! After two years, Ant & Dec will not be presenting this year with Mr Christmas himself, Michael Bublé making a special one-off appearance on our TV screens outside of Christmas and Mother's Day to take over the presenting role.

As for the awards, Robbie Williams will be receiving his 18th Brit Award by receiving the BRIT Icon Award, despite already recieving the Special Contribution to Music Award. This means he will be performing a special collection of his hits at the end of the show. There will also be a special programme on ITV in January where the nominations will be announced and a number of musical guests will perform.

I heard about Michael Bublé presenting; seemed a bit odd at first but anyone has got to be better than James Cordon or Ant & Dec.

Not sure why Robbie Williams is getting practically the same award he got previously and I don't know what to expect from his medley performance other than essentially a repeat of what he sang last time. Unless its more focused on the songs from his upcoming album, which would be an excellent opportunity, although I just somehow doubt it.

Yess. The best night of the year!

If last year's budget is anything to go by, they'll have another big lineup, which is great.

I'd expect The Weeknd and Little Mix to return, plus I think Bruno Mars is a given. I'd think other potential performers are Bieber, Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Sia (outside chance), Emeli Sandé, James Arthur (if his second single goes top 40), Shawn Mendes, Bastille, Clean Bandit, and any one member of 1D. I'm pretty sure we'll see Craig David perform as well - that's bound to go OFF. Opinions?

I would say Emeli Sandé is probably a certainty. Then Bastille, The 1975, Calvin Harris, Tom Odell, Craig David, Olly Murs, Little Mix, a 1D member and possibly even Adele are possibilities. I'm sure they'll be trying to get Drake and Beyoncé to perform but Bruno Mars, Ariana Grandé, Sia, Lady Gaga, Usher are all possibilities for the international acts. If Katy Perry is releasing anytime between now and February, she'll be performing.

I would love to see them take a 'gamble' on Christine & the Queens performing as we saw the impact that the Graham Norton performance had so this could have an even bigger effect and be a talked about performance but I'm sure they'll be looking at the big names instead.

There's normally only 3 international performers so I'm trying to limit that but it's hard to do so whereas I'm struggling to come up with names for the British acts. Its a real shame and I think that highlights the state of the current music industry. :( I doubt Little Mix will perform as they don't really get acts to perform two years in a row unless they're Adele but there could be a lack of female representation so I don't know...

Craig David had better win an award tbh.

Christine and the Queens are performing on the launc show ❤️

The launch show also seems to have a lot more effort into it this year, it looks like it will be revealed on ITV on a Saturday during primetime TV with an hour launch show!

I can't see them not inviting Little Mix to perform given they've had the biggest era of a living UK artist this year. Though, they're on tour with Ari so I guess it's unlikely they can make it.

They have that date freed up, and I can't help but think there's a reason for that. Ariana will definitely be nominated (and likely to win) and I'm sure she'd have been approached to perform? It'll probably turn into nothing, but I don't think it's as certain they're not going to go as people think tbh.
So the critics choice is between Dua Lipa, Rag'n'Bone Man and Anne-Marie !

So basically the critics are saying that there's not many who will breakthrough next year considering they've chosen 2/3 that have already had big hits this year and the other is starting to get a big hit now.
I swear Dua Lipa would have been in last year's catagory?

Dua Lipa was nominated in the Sound of... 2016 though. If she was nominated in the Critics' Choice last year as well, I guess her album wouldn't have been delayed until next year.

I was surprised to see Dua Lipa and Anne-Marie up for Critic's Choice but then I remembered that acts are eligible if they haven't had a Top 10 as a lead artist. That said, it does feel like 'Hotter Than Hell' and, especially, 'Alarm' have been big hits anyway, to the point where it feels they shouldn't have been included.

I knew Rag'n'bone Man would be up and I'd have said he'd been an easy win, but I'm steering towards Anne-Marie now.

If "Human" does indeed become massive over the next few months then he'll take it.
Craig David had better win an award tbh.

100% agree with this. Want Grime to get at least a nominations nod too, maybe Skepta can provide that.
