October 11, 20168 yr Author Summericia's song is yet to click with me but I am enjoying it. Wasn't too much of a fan of Unovia's track but it is also good to see Suedehead and Bré qualify - both decent tracks. Shame we aren't seeing the DNQ's in order. We will be :P DNQs will start very shortly!
October 11, 20168 yr Yay Ramrynia and Persephonia! :cheer: ETA: And Suedeonia!!! Edited October 11, 20168 yr by Jacob Alan
October 11, 20168 yr Yayyyy  the impact of being announced early dulled by the fact I obviously already knew that I'd qualified. But still. Initially wasn't confident at all in this entry so v happy to have made the final x Fabulous to see Suedeonia finally getting another qualifier too, much deserved  and Unovia's song was surprisingly great too! Sounded a bit Turkey Eurovision ~
October 11, 20168 yr Author Qualifiers: Semi 1 http://i.imgur.com/9iRoTKF.png Trifoski // The Go! Team - Buy Nothing Day FoefXXbNd50 http://i.imgur.com/D0fUTwv.png Hushkanukia // FRANKIE - Gold ku6wK7-vYfw Semi 2 http://i.imgur.com/LT3bBNy.png Medhelnia // Ou Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel SLLlSDpdPdE http://i.imgur.com/HrUD9pO.png The Actual Republic of Bellamia // Catey Shaw - The Ransom (Tommy Walker Remix) 5DdQVlbVV-4 Trifoski needn't worry about their original entry being a double confirmation; their back-up has proven to be a good selection! This definitely seemed to be the month to send a song featuring guitars judging by how many appeared in semi 1. Less guitar and far more pop - we have one of two songs this edition called 'Gold' through, from an artist who previously qualified for Ultraviolenceland the last time we co-hosted! As for semi 2, Medhelnia brought back a synthy triumph of a song from a few years ago. Sometimes welcoming back an old favourite can do wonders. Lastly, The Actual Republic of Bellamia go #longhairdon'tcare on us (though FEMALE!!) and this also works wonders as they're in with a strong remix that very much elevates the original.
October 11, 20168 yr I've somehow become increasingly more confident in TARO Bellamia making it to the top 5 or so.
October 11, 20168 yr Very pleased to see Suedeonia in the final again! And Trifoski were also an important one in semi 1. :D
October 11, 20168 yr Yesss for Medhelnia  do us proud ~ (now need to decide if I just give it my 18 or penalise it for knowing it too well already. xx)
October 11, 20168 yr YAAAAAAY  I've somehow become increasingly more confident in TARO Bellamia making it to the top 5 or so. I would LOVE this but I won't get my hopes up, over 3 years since my first and only top 5 :')
October 11, 20168 yr Author Semi 1 Qualifying: http://i.imgur.com/xSgZLAv.png Yehesi // Maan - Give You All I Got CWrNmYCCOp0 DNQ http://i.imgur.com/TknXjOG.png Niceland // Royce Lovett - I Wanna Love You IK1piedSBWg 33rd | 4 points Semi 2 Qualifying: http://i.imgur.com/x6scV04.png Mulgracia // Cobi - Don't You Cry For Me 96pQTiPWDpA DNQ http://i.imgur.com/7tZOxVD.png Brechtoria // The Boxer Rebellion - Big Ideas CG1OWhz7GiM 33rd | 10 points Here is where we have to start saying adios. Niceland are the recipient of the lowest number of points this time with just 4. They fail to nab that first qualifier by quite some distance. Meanwhile in semi 2, Brechtoria take the wooden spoon ~ they just about scrape double figures for their indie offering. In better news, Yehesi advance to the final yet again with an impressive qualifying streak at the moment. Mulgracia are also in with a haunting song being described as Hozier-esque, and also compared to their last winner 'Fuel To The Fire' by Rationale. Will this be able to do a Rationale?
October 11, 20168 yr Your song was great tbh, I actually hope you don't flop.  But only one predicted Buzzjack Mountain qualifying!! The new Beaverdonia??
October 11, 20168 yr Is that the same Maan that did Ride It? I nearly entered that earlier in the year so looking forward to hearing this one.
October 11, 20168 yr Think 'Give You All I Got' is my new fave of Yehesi 2016  (Brechtoria's song actually picked up 6 votes btw, just none of them were above 3 points - definitely didn't deserve to come last! D: Niceland on the other hand was really looking for ages like it might have been a 0 pointer but alas that never happens). ((tbh I kinda liked 'I Wanna Love You' as well but can definitely see why it did so poorly oops))
