October 30, 20168 yr You must have mentioned that Stonebridge comparison on about 10 separate threads by now  Only 3: this one, the itunes one and the thread for the song itself.
October 30, 20168 yr I just wish he would stop, he literally never has a clue what he's going on about. Anticipating that minus 1 from you in the next Buzzrate. To you it may not sound anything like Stonebridge's 04-05 tracks but to me it does. We have a different opinion but it doesn't mean 'I don't know what I am talking about'.
October 31, 20168 yr MWASeaYuHZo * Alessia Cara - Scars To Your Beautiful Easily a hit in the making. Making some waves on Spotify already (No. 56 last week) and I can see it doing better than "Here". It's begging to be a hit what with its' empowering message and catchy chorus. The Luca Schreiner remix is also amazing and could give the song and big boost as well. NOBVEq_Bi5k * DNCE - Body Moves Much better than Toothpaste and already showing up on spotify (even if it's only No. 174). m1g4SpPGUBU * Maty Noyes - In My Mind Hasn't appeared on the UK Spotify chart yet but has been in the 80's in the US for a few weeks. Has "hit" written all over it imo. bZxrIoCPsOc * Sia - Move Your Body The Alan Walker remix of this song appeared on Spotify last week and made a relatively big splash in a lot of countries already even though it hasn't appeared on the UK chart yet. I can definitely see this gaining popularity as it's a great remix of what could easily be her next single. Mrx9iuLJ9F0 * Jordan Fisher - All About Us Haven't seen this on any spotify charts yet but it's gotten a lot of airplay in Iceland (and I have no idea where it comes from) but it sounds big already. If pushed properly this could definitely get some traction in the UK but I'm not sure it'll happen. JDBzeM6KLlQ * Röyksopp - Never Ever Oh how I wish this would be huge but I really doubt it. LOVE this song and it could easily be huge if done right. This has smash hit written ALL over it, such a banger! ky0KD-Pqoos * Mike Posner - In The Arms Of A Stranger Not on any spotify charts as far as I can see but could definitely be promoted as the follow up to ITAPII, especially with the Brian Kierulf remix which sounds huge. I doubt they'll take this route but they definitely could if they wanted to. Some of those are just wishful thinking lol but I can genuinely see all of these being hits if pushed properly.
October 31, 20168 yr Author I'd really love for the Röyksopp song to do something, but it seems destined to be one of those songs that stays popular on forums and blogs but doesn't get a chance commercially.
October 31, 20168 yr KREAM Ft Clara Mae - Taped Up Heart - top 200 in the global chart so could become big. It sounds like it could do very well imo. Cobi - Don't You Cry For Me - may be a silly one but if Radio 1 supported this then it could do quite well, although it is basically a clone of Take Me to Church so who knows. Andy Grammar - Fresh Eyes - although it could hit top 40 this year but it seems to be well on Spotify so who knows (rly hope not though) These might be ridiculous suggestions mind :heehee: Pulling for Alessia Cara to do big things with that track. Her best of the 3 tracks so far! Edited October 31, 20168 yr by Rob Goblin
October 31, 20168 yr agree on Alessa Cara, the track has been 50-ish for a while on Spotify, just needs been made TOTD or a playlisted Fresh Eyes is a top 30 hit on Spotify cos it's on all the playlists but no one is buying it on itunes wonder if there's still time for this to be a hit? think it was TOTD but not playlisted... October 31, 20168 yr Is Cobi even signed? If he is I assume it's not to a major. It could change I guess but for now Hozier is already filling that gap in the market. I'm DYING for Move Your Body to smash, either the original or the remix. I'm also hoping that if it's the remix it will encourage others to return to the turn of the century sound that it has. Would be good to see Raised In The 90s by Majestic smash too but I feel like garage isn't particularly commercially viable for anybody other than Craig David.
October 31, 20168 yr Praying the Maty Noyes song gets pushed and becomes big, what a fantastic song, been loving it for months now
October 31, 20168 yr Gh6JkwZ-5QM It's been almost 10 years since Armand Van Helden has a chart hit in his own right, this screams out to me to be a hit in the making.
October 31, 20168 yr Tough to call this early, i don't see many obvious future smashers around at the moment ('The Mack' will probably be big though) but some could spring up over the next month maybe There's ones i WANT to see breaking through like Rag'n'Bone Man's "Human" (based on its European success it clearly has potential, Radio 1 did already (very briefly) playlist it a while ago so i'm praying it gets another chance!) and of course "Lost On You" <3 What about Ariana Grande - "Greedy"? after Side To Side they're sure to keep milking the album and Greedy seems like the next obvious choice. She's a huge name, always gets good streaming numbers etc. I'll think of more later on~
October 31, 20168 yr JDBzeM6KLlQ * Röyksopp - Never Ever Oh how I wish this would be huge but I really doubt it. LOVE this song and it could easily be huge if done right. This has smash hit written ALL over it, such a banger! This is really good  I can't really see many radio stations getting on board though, they're probably seen as a bit dated now :( I'd obviously love for 'Move Your Body' to be big for Sia, I'd rather the original did well but I'd settle for the remix!
October 31, 20168 yr I'd obviously love for 'Move Your Body' to be big for Sia, I'd rather the original did well but I'd settle for the remix! I would prefer the remix to do well, as it might encourage a return to euphoric progressive house / eurodance dance hits (which we haven't had since the first two Swedish House Mafia hits). Edited October 31, 20168 yr by Count Snakula💀
October 31, 20168 yr Author I think Move Your Body (Remix) would be a great choice myself, original probably wouldn't do as well as it's been out for longer as part of the original album.
October 31, 20168 yr Yes at LP 'Lost On You' :yahoo: it needs to smash by next year  even though it's smashing other major european markets (IT, FR, DE, CH etc etc).
October 31, 20168 yr oh wow I've just listened for the first time to that remix of 'Move Your Body'...what a banger :o
October 31, 20168 yr oh wow I've just listened for the first time to that remix of 'Move Your Body'...what a banger :o Maybe it can be the new Summertime Sadness....(remix doing better than original)
October 31, 20168 yr what about Dua Lipa's Be The One? Has that ship definitely sailed? Are they going to go for another song or could they try again and re-release it before the album in Feb? was thinking also about Kiaara - Gold, was a low top 40 hit on Spotify for ages but never went big, but now she's gone very big in the US and is a huge hit, so they might push it again in the UK?
October 31, 20168 yr Author 'Gold' already had its time in the UK, yes it did miss the top 40 but was a reasonably sized hit spending a while in the top 75 58-{48}-56-62-52-55-56-58-58-53-62-73->12 I could see 'Be The One' getting a re-release and impacting the lower end of the top 40 post-album but until then keep the new hits flowing seeing as Europe have already had that song be a hit.
