Holy shit I wasn't expecting that kind of boost for Craig :o With the X-Factor, could he go #01 on iTunes?

Edited by jase.

woah, I expected Craig David to be a flop, who knew the public wanted a ballad from him.

still don't get why he's pushing Change My Love to radio though when he had this lined up as the CiN single

I don't think he's performing this on X Factor! I think he's performing his other single/the one playlisted by Radio 1!

HUGE effect for him though. Really wasn't expecting that. 2016 has been an incredible year for Craig. I wonder if he'll finally get his "Best British Solo Male" at the BRITs next year? :o

If I was Craig, I wouldn't be pushing 'Change My Love' as a single, especially with 'All We Needed' close to #2 on iTunes and an X Factor performance lined up. If he wants to release 'Change My Love' release it after '16'.
'All We Needed' would work better as an X Factor performance tbh, and it's much higher in the chart at the moment, so it would be ridiculous if he didn't sing that.
Craig tweeted the other day that he's performing Change My Love. We may get a last minute change who knows
This success is just topping off a huge year for Craig David, never would have expected this this time last year.

I'm not sure this Craig track will be having staying power if it's only intended strictly for CIN/a CIN performance? Though maybe he'll change his mind after this and push for it.

It's still beyond me why he's even going with 'Change My Love' at all when he has '16' and 'Don't Go' though...

Well, tbf, I think it was around this time of the year that he was expected to have a big year  I seem to remember a lot of people posting memes that 2016 was gonna be the year of Justin Bieber and Craig David.
It hasn't been THAT huge, only 'When The Bassline Drops' was a hit really and his album hasn't had that much staying power either.

Nothing Like This was probably bigger than WTBLD to be fair, though he's only credited as a featured artist.

I can see 'All I Needed' doing well.

11. Olly Murs - Grow Up [in all fairness, Olly has had magnificent promo for this entire campaign, he's managed to perform on almost every possible television show with 'Grow Up' and 'You Don't Know Love']

21. Zara Larsson - I Would Like

22. Charli XCX Feat Lil Yachty - After The Afterparty

28. Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault

35. Tom Zanetti Feat Sadie Ama - You Want Me

46. Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You

60. Britney Spears Feat Tinashe - Slumber Party

64. Rihanna - Love On The Brain

When the Bassline Drops was certainly bigger than Nothing Like This I think! Plus I'd say the latter counts as a Craig single too, they were joint lead artists on the track and it's on his album so I expect it was intended as a single from his album as well as a Blonde single?

It's really confusing that he's pushing two tracks at once though :drama:

I'm quite confused about the Craig David situation? Has the CIN single been playlisted anywhere?

3. All We Needed (Official BBC Children in Need Single 2016) - Craig David

45. Through the Barricades (with Tony Hadley) [bBC Children in Need] - Funky Voices

69. I'll Be Home for Christmas (feat. Ned Humphrey Hansen) - The Killers

73. & 137. I Can See Clearly Now - Hothouse Flowers

"When The Bassline Drops" and "Nothing Like This" became his first certified singles in 15/16 years and his album his first #1 since his debut, over 16 years ago. I understand the album itself hasn't really had legs but I would definitely say this has been a huge year for him, especially compared to the previous 10 or so years of his career. He's also had a couple other top 40 hits and a couple top 100 appearances.

Surprised at how high his CIN single has gone. If I were him, I would definitely perform it on X-factor. Could possibly see it get to #1 on iTunes combined if he did.
