The Sound Of Silence so high *.* Was hoping I'd see it that high up on some other EOYs - that was incredible seeing Disturbed get some chart force for a bit.

#7 in mine :kink: true Disturbed Stan *.*

It's a wonderful version though even better than the original for me :o

Anyway some great stuff here... 'Stay' was nice, wonder when Kygo will get another hit though?

"Fast Car" really ain't that bad as people are making are making out although I am sick of sub par remixes of old songs personally!

14. Rihanna (feat. Drake) - Work

Total points: 437

Chart run: 9-3-5-4-6-7-3-8-14-19-16-22-22-29-31-24-38 {17 weeks}

The highest appearance from both artists is this jam on toast which spent its first 2 months in the top 10. Peaking just 1 place behind it's official position they did end both claiming their maiden #1s on 'Too Good' later in the year.

'Every Single Night' was brilliant. Seemed to be just us two who loved it though, it would've fit in well with R1 dance anthems but I don't think it ever made it onto there.

'Work' is a proper jam, making both of our top 20s too although higher in yours :D

13. DARA - K'vo Ne Chu

Total points: 438

Chart run: 13-2-1-1-1-2-2-2-3-7-13-21-27- {13 weeks}

The second highest foreign language song in the countdown is this uptempo Bulgarian pop song which became a surprise #1 & a successful Dobagan BJSC entry, displacing 'Super Natural', which is yet to appear, from the top spot. Its run continued into this year but for now it settles for #13 here.

One of the big summer #1s came from Polish DJ with this chilled dance effort, after spending a month stuck behind 'The Legend' before finally overtaking it. Including uncredited vocals from Giang Phiam who would also feature (credited this time) on his follow-up song 'Magic Symphony' which climbed to #2 a few months back but was too late to count towards this Chart.

11. Craig David & Big Narstie - When The Bassline Drops

Chart run: 15-4-7-7-10-4-4-7-12-14-17-17-18-27-38-28-26-34 {18 weeks}

Narrowly missing the top 10 by a mere 5 points, it's the penultimate appearance from Craig David. His grand comeback culminated in a #4 peak & over a third of the year in the top 40. With just 'Ain't Giving Up' left to appear can he go all the way to the YE #1?

I'm in agreement I far prefer this version to the original as nice as that one is, there's so much more passion in his voice!

I think Kygo still has hit power in him especially whilst the topical house sound is dominating. His name is pretty big now too so even if the popularity moved on he could score with a reasonably big name feature.

Fast Car is brilliant I still hear it a lot now a year on, one of the best remixes of last year (there have been some awful ones too like you say)

'Every Single Night' was brilliant. Seemed to be just us two who loved it though, it would've fit in well with R1 dance anthems but I don't think it ever made it onto there.

I thought it might make a few radio playlists given its sound but obviously wasn't going to become a hit. I'm glad there's someone else to appreciate it's brilliance :D

One of my faves of hers ever now, it probably should be in my top 10 but I skipped a Chart during its run just after it entered!

didn't get into 'Never Go Away', a bit too boring for me.

'Bassline' and 'K'vo Ne Chu' were decent tunes, I'm hoping the top 10 is of better quality though!

Usually songs like Never Go Away I would agree but something about this one just got me!

Well I can now exclusively reveal...

So we're down to the business end, the top 10 - which comprises of:

Albin Myers & Carli - The Legend

Clean Bandit (feat. Louisa Johnson) - Tears

Craig David & Sigala - Ain't Giving Up

Danny L Harle (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen) - Super Natural

Imany - Don't Be So Shy (Filatov & Karas Remix)

Kida - Ja Kem Nis

Mahmut Orhan (feat. Sena Sener) - Feel

MNEK - At Night (I Think About You)

Sigala (feat. Imani & DJ Fresh) - Say You Do

The Chainsmokers (feat. ROZES) - Roses

Work is so good. :wub: Easily my favourite Rihanna song for many years.

When The Bassline Drops is absolutely massive as well. :wub: Sounded so old-skool but still so current at the same time. Big Narstie's verse in hilariously brilliant too.

Same for me, will stand the test of time very well too I would imagine.

Yeah I was amazed when I first heard it, a genius throwback but really fresh like you say!

Great to see Never Go Away so high! Such an amazing track :music:

It really is, we'll remain it's only hardcore fans :D

10. Clean Bandit (feat. Louisa Johnson) - Tears

Total points: 453

Chart run: 2-2-1-1-1-1-3-3-6-11-13-18-28-31 {14 weeks}

Just holding onto the top 10 is this fantastic return from Clean Bandit, enlisting the help of the at the time reigning X Factor champion which in turn became a genius move for her. The song became the group's first #1 & spent a month at the top. Follow-up Rockabye managed a top 3 peak but couldn't achieve the same level of success as this gem.

9. Albin Myers & Carli - The Legend

Total points: 458

Chart run: 7-2-1-1-1-1-2-2-4-7-13-18-24-35-39 {15 weeks}

Another song to spend a month #1 & in the fact the one that deposed the song just mentioned before. One of my finest discoveries of 2016 was this old school sounding rave anthem from Swedish duo Albin Myers & Carli. Drawing noticable similarities to The Prodigy it also became a success in BJSC, finishing in the top 10. Neither artist had charted prior nor have since but I'll always be on the lookout if this is the level of quality.

8. Danny L Harle (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen) - Super Natural

Total points: 471

Chart run: 5-2-1-2-2-4-5-5-6-8-12-17-20-14- {14 weeks}

The more successful Danny L Harle song of 2016 managed to surge into the EOY top 10 in the very last charting week. Easily one of the best tracks I've heard in this genre, Carly Rae Jepsen also delivers superbly on vocals. Becoming both artists' first #1s this may have only spent a sole week at the top but it has managed a further 2 months in the Chart since the cut-off where in fact today it lengthened its run to 22 total weeks.

7. Imany - Don't Be So Shy (Filatov & Karas Remix)

Total points: 483

Chart run: 5-8-6-8-2-3-3-2-3-9-11-15-28-18-29-36-37-38-X-36-40 {20 weeks}

The highest remix to appear in the countdown from new faves Filatov & Karas who took this originally acoustic-soul track to create a monster Eurodance anthem which scaled charts across the continent. It was kept off #1 twice here, by Sigma & Jonas Blue but comfortably outperforms both in the EOY, one of a select few songs to hit the magic 20 week mark.

6. Craig David & Sigala - Ain't Giving Up

Total points: 490

Chart run: 16-9-11-3-4-5-1-1-1-1-4-5-10-13- {14 weeks}

The highest track from Craig David (but not Sigala who has one more left & is the only act with 2 entries in the top 10) is this month-long #1 which in fact surprisingly took until its seventh week to mount the summit after initially being outperformed by 'No Holding Back'. One of the dream collaborations of mine which came to fruition & certainly did not disappoint, it would be pushing for the top 3 potentially if its entire run counted but with a total of 11 weeks in the top 10 it certainly made its rightful mark all the same.

5. Kida - Ja Kem Nis

Total points: 509

Chart run: 17-4-5-8-6-6-5-11-14-14-9-7-9-13-18-16-28-39 {18 weeks}

Sitting pretty all the way up in fifth position is Kosovan singer Kida who claims the highest foreign-language song of the year. Managing an incredibly stable run in the top half of the Chart where it spent nearly 4 months, it's relatively modest #4 peak means little when it sits ahead of all but two #1s of last year & is only one of five songs to crack 500 points on the countdown.
