George Maple - Talk / (32-2-1-1-2-4-10-22-28-37-x) 10 weeks 40. Shura - Touch / (20-17-9-6-8-15-19-25-42-45-x) 10 weeks Starving - One of the more recent tracks to make it this high but I took to Starving from pretty much the first time I heard it, it's full of personality and fun and I love the dance breakdown too. Way better than Love Myself which was far too repetitive, not sure why everyone loved that so much. Still Falling For You - This is probably one of my favourite Ellie tracks now and it still upsets me that it was so close to top 10 officially so many times but kept on missing out, it has an explosive middle 8 and chorus which really sound great, similar to why the end of LMLY was so great too. Better When I'm Dancin' - I wasn't expecting to like a song from a Charlie Brown/Snoopy movie soundtrack as much as this but it is so much fun, every time I hear it, my toes can't resist tapping and it really gets you in the mood. It was one of the few good things about the film too  Dangerous Woman - This had a really short chart run for a #1 in my personal chart, I think I went it off it pretty quickly but I'm back to loving it now. It has a huge chorus and I was so pleased with how long it stuck around in the official charts despite a fairly low peak. In Common - We always get a few great Alicia Keys track per era from her and this was definitely the best track for her most recent album, the rest of it was kinda boring but this sounds so on trend and current, similar to Drake's style of music but better, shame it wasn't a chart hit. I Hate U, I Love U - This took quite a while to grow on me and didn't peak until 9 weeks into its chart run, I love the back and forth from Gnash and Olivia and it's too irresistible not to sing the chorus and rap the verses along with it. Secret Love Song - For a song with such a long chart run, this is quite low for my EOY but Little Mix are capable of a lot better (usually with their uptempo tracks) so this ended up being a bit overshadowed, still a lovely ballad and multiple week #1 for me but they have plenty of better tracks. Starboy - The Weeknd had massive success with his singles from his last era and Starboy has continued that trend, the video is visually striking and I love the ha, ha, ha hook. Of course, his vocals are excellent too, I wish this had a longer chart run on my chart now.. Talk - Talk is another track that faded pretty quickly and didn't last long after its couple of weeks at #1 but nowadays, I really enjoy listening to it again. I'm a bit gutted that this couldn't be a chart hit and was overshadowed by the much worse Justin Bieber collab :( Touch - I had liked quite a few Shura singles prior to this, Indecision probably being my favourite of the lot but nothing properly hit me as much as this did. The video especially has a lovely message but the song itself is very dreamy and beautiful too. I wish she would click with the public a bit more :(
December 22, 20168 yr Nice to see Talk here - never made my charts, but it is still a good song! I have to say I preferred Middle though. Edited December 22, 20168 yr by WiseManFromLeeds
December 22, 20168 yr Heathens is one I enjoyed for a bit but it got boring with overplay. Starboy is starting to became a great Weeknd track after I was a bit disappointed with it originally. Secret Love Song is what won me back over for Little Mix after I wasn't too keen on Love M e Like You. The chorus for this is huge. i hate u, i love u is one of my faves of the year. I don't even know why I love this song so much, I just find it so catchy. Dangerous Woman was the easiest number one in my chart all year. I listened to it more times on its release day than I've listened to most of my other number 1's in their whole week. I had so much hype for this song to be released and it didn't disappoint. Starving is such a fun track. I've only ever heard the Love Myself track once and thought it was pretty meh but this was very instant.
December 22, 20168 yr Starving :music: that's been a real slow burner for me, didn't make my top 20 but spent about 2 months in my top 40. I also liked I Hate U to my own surprise, it just has that feel to it that other piano ballads don't and it stays interesting throughout. Talk was too underrated, that was a tune (as I already told you in my own EOY!) Starboy I also love, great top 40 start! :D
December 22, 20168 yr In Common is so underrated, it's a shame it wasn't a hit :( If Drake released it it'd have been a surefire top 5 lmao.

December 23, 20168 yr Author Nice to see Talk here - never made my charts, but it is still a good song! I have to say I preferred Middle though.Hi Pete I do prefer Middle too so that is still to come but both tracks were great, a shame the worse Let Me Love You was the biggest hit of them all (although I did like it for a while too!) Thanks for commenting!!!Heathens is one I enjoyed for a bit but it got boring with overplay. Starboy is starting to became a great Weeknd track after I was a bit disappointed with it originally. Starving is such a fun track. I've only ever heard the Love Myself track once and thought it was pretty meh but this was very instant.Hi Lewis Yeah, I guess Heathens was a little overplayed but I still enjoy it a lot and it is my favourite TDCC song to date. Hope we get more good stuff from them soon too! I loved it from the word go really but he has loads of great tracks, think it would be just outside his top three for me (The Hills, I Feel It Coming and Often). Blashphemy!!! LMLY was my EOY #1 last year, I adore it :o Everyone seemed to go off IHU, ILU or found it stupid, it did take a while to grow on me but I ended up loving it, it is very catchy! I was so hyped for it too hence why it went straight to #1  LM is so over-rated but everyone talks about it here like it's the best track ever, who knows  Thanks for commenting!! Starving :music: that's been a real slow burner for me, didn't make my top 20 but spent about 2 months in my top 40. It is surprisingly interesting for its slow pace, I think its the argumentative lyrics that make it for me  I'm gutted that Talk was overshadowed and couldn't turn into a chart hit, it definitely deserved more! Thanks Dan!"! In Common is so underrated, it's a shame it wasn't a hit :( If Drake released it it'd have been a surefire top 5 lmao. I agree with you but it just seemed to get no real support or push, maybe Drake should've sung it  Thanks Liam!! Hi Josh from the recent section Starving - I liked this a lot and I still do just need a break from it as I was starting to get a bit bored of it  Still Falling For You - Of Course I am loving this till  Excellent song and great movie song too the way it builds  Dangerous Woman - Ill be honest I like this but least favourite of the era oops  In Common - I really love how simple this is  I Hate U, I Love U - Got bored of this quickly Secret Love Song - Really great girlband ballad  Talk - Was not into this as much oops Touch - I really love this now I wish I proper loved this when it was released only liked it before didnt reach top 20 for me :cry:Hiya Harry Starving - It is feeling a little overplayed now but it is still loads of fun  SFFY - I love the way it builds too, the final minute or so is amazing!! DW - I think Into You is actually my least favourite from the era, controversial!! IC - Same, it really works for the track. Shame it couldn't turn into a chart hit :( IHU,ILU - I still love it actually, got some of the catchiest lyrics in a track this year. SLS - I agree with you there but their uptempo tracks are definitely my favourites. Talk - Ah, I loved it, I think the female vocal is much nicer than on LMLY! Touch - I wish it had a longer chart run on my personal chart but at least had a good peak for me  Thanks!! :hi: 31. Hailee Steinfeld feat. Adele - Send My Love (To Your New Lover) / (37-18-8-6-3-9-12-11-15-19-40-45-47-50-x) 14 weeks What If I Go? - I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did but it really hit me and ended up getting quite a few weeks in my top 10. It has an interesting and catchy drop and the production is fantastic. What's not to like really? This Girl - This is another one that went in fairly low but grew really quickly into a #1 for me. It is a little overplayed now so I don't love it as much but it is perfect for summer and always puts me in a good mood. Shame it was stuck behind drake in the real chart. Who Do You Think Of? - I enjoyed some M.O. singles before this too but this really surprised me with how good it was and it had a fantastic top 20 run in my personal chart, it is just jam packed with hooks and the girls seem to have a lot of star power. Don't Be So Shy - I adored Please and Change by Imany a few years back and even though this dance mix of her track is very different to that, it is still great. I was really hoping that it would be a UK chart hit but it never seemed to take off. It missed out on the top spot in my personal chart due to Kiss It Better by Rihanna which is still yet to come so I guess I made the right decision there in hindsight too. Send My Love (To Your New Lover) - I've said before how I often find Adele's music a little boring but I loved this the most out of any of her singles yet probably. She is so much better when not singing dull ballads and it really paid off here for her best track yet for me. I loved the video too with all the layered Adeles  er when
December 23, 20168 yr Five great songs there :D What If I Go is a grower, This Girl is a really funky track and deserved a #1 :( , Send M yLove is my favourite song from the album, and the M.O & Imani tracks are just insanely catchy!
December 23, 20168 yr from the last lot, 'Starboy', 'Better When i'm Dancin', Incommon, 'Still Fallin For You' are all great. 'Starving' is a billion times better than 'love myself' I never understood the love for that either, besides Hailee has grown up a lot and is very gorgeous I think :kink: 'Touch' is growing on me, didn't like it at all when I first gave it a listen the other day lol but it's getting better, a little repetitive though in the chorus. Imany, Kungs and Adele also great, just realised you do love Send My Love  I replied to your comment in my chart and thought you meant that it was overrated  then realised it was Someone Like You :heehee:
December 24, 20168 yr Hey again, missed lots of goodness in the past couple of sections! M.O are really delivering this year, Who Do You Think Of? was such a pleasant surprise after I wasn't so fussed on Preach! Such an effortlessly slick track. Starving is my favourite Hailee song so far too, really pleased it managed to be such a huge hit  Great stuff as always *.*
December 24, 20168 yr Author Who Do You Think Of?  Glad you approve Bal, I'm loving Not In Love at the moment too. Here's hoping 2017 is the year of M.O.! Thanks for commenting! Hi Pete, glad you're enjoying it! I wish This Girl was an official #1 too! It was way better than One Dance that held it off :( SML is Adele's best track yet imo, very catchy and way more interesting than her dull ballads! Touch is really gorgeous I think and the video makes it better too, shame Shura isn't getting much commercial success. Oh no, I do love Send My Love. It's Someone Like You that I find over-rated!! :P Thanks for commenting! Hey again, missed lots of goodness in the past couple of sections! I'm adoring Not In Love at the moment. I did like Preach too but not on the same level as these too. Excited to see what Hailee comes up with after this, I wasn't huge on Love Myself but her tracks so far have all been very well produced! Thanks for commenting :D

One Direction - History / (9-3-3-4-3-3-9-12-20-22-28-33-41-45-49-50-x) 16 weeks Middle - Despite Talk being a #1 hit in my personal chart, previous single Middle didn't quite reach the same heights but overall, I do definitely prefer it. I think the drop is a bit more interesting and I think I'm just more familiar with it due to its additional official chart hit status  Sexual - Sexual has had a pretty good run in my personal chart top 10 even getting a few weeks at tthe top spot but since then it has dropped pretty quickly. I love how the final chorus really explodes, that is definitely my favourite part. It still sounds fresh too despite hearing it loads now  The Greatest - I wasn't huge on this to begin with and it actually took a couple of weeks to even chart at first but it soon grew massively as the uplifting chorus became a huge ear worm for me too. Nowadays, I would rank it as her second best track ever, just behind 2015 EOY top 10 smash, Elastic Heart  Lush Life - Lush Life has been one of the most popular tracks around here this year and it's not hard to see why with its infectious dance beat and likeable popstar at the forefront of the video. It is a lot of fun and managed to get a pretty long chart run on my personal chart with four straight weeks at #12 after its top 10 stint  History - History wasn't one of my huge highlights initially from Made in the A.M. but after it was announced as a single, it quickly grew on me and it felt like a fitting tribute to their time as a band. They really began to make some great singles towards the end of their career and this may well be my favourite by them (or You & I) now. It couldn't break my personal chart top 2 though despite being stuck four times at #3 but I guess it gets the last laugh as it was stuck behind both Better When I'm Dancin' and Secret Love Song which it has outpeaked both of in the End of Year chart! :o

December 24, 20168 yr Middle is a great track, I really like the inclusion of Bipolar Sunshine in the song! The Greatest is nice as well, I did prefer Cheap Thrills & Never Give Up though
December 24, 20168 yr Heya Josh :D History is really great, it gets way too much flack. A great way to say 'goodbye for now' to 1D! Drag Me Down remains my fave from this era though  Lush Life is a top notch pop track also, Zara is really bringing it this year!
December 25, 20168 yr Oooh, those Zara songs being that low :( I like History, it's a good way to say goodbye but I got over it really fast. I don't like this girl, I don't like that type of music :puke2: Edited December 25, 20168 yr by seltinpixmile

I don't like this girl, I don't like that type of music :puke2:That's the last of Zara for now, yeah :( She's had a stellar year though, hopefully 2017 is just as good for her. I still love it if it comes on the radio but I do sort of forget to go back to it much myself which is a shame. Ah well, hopefully you'll approve of some of the tracks a bit further up. Thanks for commenting seltin! Middle is a great track, I really like the inclusion of Bipolar Sunshine in the song! The Greatest is nice as well, I did prefer Cheap Thrills & Never Give Up thoughI agree that Bipolar Sunshine is a great addition, hope he gets a breakthrough hit sometime soon. Cheap Thrills got old far too quick for me and now I kinda hate it, just too much overplay :( Thanks Pete :D Heya Josh :D History is really great, it gets way too much flack. I agree, it does get way too mcuh flack. DMD is a tune though, also up there with their best tracks of their whole career for me  She really is, not so huge on I Would Like yet but I'm enjoying it a lot still and glad it's shaping up to be big in the New Year!
