One of the main things I love about Tinie Tempah are his lyrics, they're always loads of fun which means you always enjoy listening to them I guess. The track did get a little old for me because I got a bit bored of the chorus but still a tune, just not up there with the likes of Not Letting Go/Frisky/Written in the Stars for me :wub:

 

I had never heard of Crystal Fighters before but I really enjoyed All Night, pure fun and had a really good melody too. I like Good Girls a fair bit too but it feels a bit more tuneless(?) so I'm finding it a bit hard to properly get into it. Will give their album a listen though for sure!

This Girl -"This was entered to Buzzjack Song Contest by Botanika that is were I originally heard it and loved it. So much so it was my 18 pointer in the final and my 12 for the semi final then a month or so later it started getting a commercial push which reignited my love for the song. I know there was a lot of tropical house in the year but this has to be one of the best of the year as it is excellently produced. I also very much love the vocals especially how covers used in the dance format can sometimes be hard to pull of but Kung's remix of Cookin' On 3 Burners song worked perfectly and set my chart alight"

Waiting For This Night - "Two to a month before Eurovision season was properly among us I asked our Eurovision mod Ryan to recommend me a couple of songs one of which turned out to be Donny Montell's 'Waiting For This Night' which was Lithuania's entry for the 2016 contest. He said not only will I fancy him but I would probably like his musi too. Turns out he was right about both of those things :kink:, His looks aside, this is just great euro pop in my opinion because it perfectly gets stuck in your head and stays there for days. I would even go as far as saying it is my second favourite Eurovision entry after Loreen's Euphoria :heart:. 2. The Big Moon & Fickle Friends :o

Yes in a joint second placing are London's The Big Moon and Brighton's own Fickle Friend who share the runner up place mainly because I forget The Big Moon in my list and I love them so much not to include them.

 

The Big Moon first came into my attention with Cupid last year since tben they have released two great tracks 'Silent Movie Susie' and 'Formidable'. Not only this but they have a full album titled 'Love In The 4th Dimension' which comes out 7th April 2017. The all girl band are Alternative rock and just bring a breath of fresh air to that scene as it's usually male dominated. Also I recommend their music videos too.

 

Now Fickle Friends I have been a fan of since end of 2015 I believe it was. 'Say No More' hit with me instantly since then they have gathered some amazing songs including 'Brooklyn' and 'Cry Baby'. They are a indie pop band to break out. I will be looking out for more stuff by them for sure!.

Could it have been anyone else? I first heard of her in 2015 when I considered her song 'HotBox' for BJSC and I completely loved it and still do. It's just dreamy R'N'B :heart: Her 2016 efforts have blown me away too with Distraction, I, U, Us and Shh (an EP Track) being highlights. She has also done amazing collaborations with Jax Jones and Jonas Blue. I think RAYE could have a great 2017 :heart:
