December 8, 20168 yr I think choosing the winner of the ballads results would be a good shout, but it needs to be one that can compete with the material that other AFs will put forward. I can't see that being too hard since Madonna's ballads are hugely enjoyed by pretty much all Madonna fans and I can see that sentiment being held by non-Madonna fans too.

'The Power of Goodbye' and 'Crazy for You' have been the ones that have drummed up the most support from the get-go, so I think either one of them would get big support in the AFSC. Of course, there's several others that have huge fanbases - even 'Rain' despite 'only' placing 7th in the countdown - but those two in particular seem to get consistently high support. If we expect a 'Crazy for You' win, I just hope a song from the 80s can contend with 21st century material.
December 11, 20168 yr FROZENNNNNNNN!!!!! Yeah. Choose the ballad that has most potential to win the contest. The rate was amongst die hard fans. So they'll see things differently to the standard voter in the contest!
December 11, 20168 yr Perhaps we could put up a poll of 'Frozen', 'The Power of Goodbye' and 'Crazy for You', given they seem like the popular choices going from both this thread and the ballad results. I do like the idea of the song winning best ballad receiving a prize of being put forward in this contest, but the Madonna ballad contest wasn't ever intended to be connected to the AF contest so it doesn't have to become so.
December 11, 20168 yr Author It's a tricky one... I quite like the idea of a poll of the top 3 :thinking: I'll finish the ballad results today if possible (have a busy day so might be tough but I want this sorted asap!) My personal choice would be Frozen by the way ~
December 11, 20168 yr Tbh I have noticed 'Frozen' to be a favourite of non-fans or from people have just started to discover Madonna music, as well as having its die hard fans. I just fear that some people may find it boring, but I suppose the positives outweigh that fear.
